Usually, Africa only breaks through to the West when Western targets are attacked by terrorists. First, two US Black Hawk helicopters were shot down in Somalia in 1993. Then Al Qaeda attacked US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. Then, only a few days ago, Islamic State published a video purporting to show an ambush in Niger in which four US soldiers were killed last October. The West was silent. The West does not seem to care about the ongoing Islamic terrorist genocide on Africa’s biggest Christian population in Nigeria.   A few days ago, the Coliseum in Rome [More]
A student at the Indiana University of Pennslyvania was kicked out of a class on Christianity after arguing that there are only two genders.   Student Lake Ingle was suspended from a class on Christianity after he argued that there are only two genders. After viewing a TED talk by transgender ex-pastor Paula Stone Williams, Ingle raised his hand and claimed that biologists believe that there are only two genders.   Ingle was immediately kicked out of class by the professor and asked not to return. Now, pending an administrative investigation, Ingle — a senior — may not graduate in May.   Read [More]
“Hundreds” of crosses at war monuments and memorials across the nation now are at risk because a panel from the 4th U.S. Court of Appeals condemned the Bladensburg World War I Veterans Memorial to destruction, and the full court refused to reconsider, says one of the judges. The warning came from Circuit Judge Paul Niemeyer, a part of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.   The majority there refused to have the entire court weigh in on the Bladensburg case, and that would leave it condemned to destruction because of its presence on public property.   But the legal [More]
02/16/18 The California government is being accused of continuing to “persecute” a baker who refused to make a same-sex wedding cake, despite a recent court victory granting her the First Amendment right to do so.   As Faithwire previously reported, a California judge ruled last month in favor of Cathy Miller, owner of Tastries Bakery, finding that the state cannot force her to act against her sincerely held beliefs.   The Christian baker has been under fire over her refusal last August to make a gay wedding cake.   Read More: California Continues to Persecute Christian Baker Despite Big Win [More]
“I feel sorry for the prisoners, they’ll now be exposed to endless Islamic propaganda which can only lead them into a worse bondage.”  Admin   A highly-respected Christian volunteer Chaplain at HMP Brixton has been removed from chaplaincy work, and an internationally-respected Christian course banned by a Muslim Senior Chaplain, in an attempt to wipe out “Christian domination” at Brixton prison. Pastor Paul Song moved to the UK from South Korea in 1992 and began working as a full-time minister at London Shepherd Church in 1996. In 1998, he started using his one day off each week to volunteer alongside [More]
BRISTOL, England, February 5, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – A government-funded pre-apprenticeship academy in Bristol reported a Christian teacher as a “radicalisation threat” for answering students’ questions about her beliefs, Bristol Employment Tribunal has heard.   Svetlana Powell, a teacher of some 17 years’ experience, told the Tribunal that she was dismissed by the T2 Apprenticeship Academy in Bristol in July 2016 after being asked by students about her views on homosexuality.   In reply to a personal question, Mrs Powell said that her personal belief was that homosexuality was against God’s will, but that He loved every person, regardless of what [More]
Thursday, January 25, 2018  | Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com) Canada’s prime minister is getting a tongue-lashing from an unexpected source over what has been described as a “dictatorial” policy.   The Canadian government has a summer jobs program it supports via grants to various businesses, organizations, and churches to give young people some practical training and experience in the job market. But Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently established a rule that those applying must agree to support his pro-abortion policies – or, as he put it, they must respect “reproductive rights,” including abortion on demand.   Mary Ellen Douglas of Campaign [More]
Here is a headline in Newsweek from Jan. 12: “Trump Will Start the End of the World, Claim Evangelicals Who Support Him.”   Did any evangelicals actually say that in the article? No.   Is there any truth to the claim? No.   In fact, I think I can better speak for evangelicals than the headline writers and fake-news purveyors at Newsweek. I’ve been one for over 40 years. I founded and run the largest Christian website in the world. I write books on the subject – including many on prophecy.   Evangelical Christians do not overwhelmingly support President Donald [More]
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which was linked to domestic terror when one of its fans used its “hate list” to target a Christian group with mass murder, now is monitoring “#merrychristmas” and “jesus” as “hate.” The organization’s self-labeled “hatetracker” was uncovered by Liberty Counsel, which has fought SPLC’s attacks on Roy Moore when he was…
Aaron and Melissa Klein were fined $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding. Three judges on the Oregon Court of Appeals on Thursday affirmed a penalty of $135,000 for a bakery whose owners refused to violate their Christian faith and promote lesbianism by providing a cake for two “brides.” The fine was…
British Christian publications have been wondering if we are witnessing the “extinction of Christianity in Egypt“, where the Christian faithful have suffered persecution and terror attacks at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists. Christian leaders also seem to be wondering if Christianity will be “extinct within a generation” in the UK, where religious people enjoy total freedom of worship and faith.   Last year, the Church of England began to formulate a religious revolution. Its canonical laws require that British churches hold their functions every Sunday. The dramatic crisis of Christianity in the UK, however, is pushing the Anglican church to [More]
‘”The show aired 11/30/17 but the article relates how this yearly classic almost never made it to TV in the first place.”  Admin ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ is beloved by so many, but it almost didn’t make it to the air when it was originally produced It first aired on television sets across America back in 1965 — and it’s been running ever since.   This week, ABC will air the show to millions of adoring fans, old and new alike. Indeed, it now seems inconceivable to think of the holiday season without the classic cartoon, but the story of [More]
Berea College is apparently afraid of alumni and parents being reminded of Psalm 139:13: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”   The Christian college near Lexington, Kentucky – known for its “no-tuition promise” to every student it enrolls – allegedly approved a student pro-life display during its Homecoming weekend and then proceeded to harass the students throughout the day.   Brenna Lewis, Appalachian regional coordinator at Students for Life of America, writes that a complaint apparently triggered the intervention of administrators:   Read More: Christian college allegedly harasses pro-life students after approving [More]
“Good article on who is heading up the Church of Sweden and how this explains the recent changes in the church handbook on the dropping of “He and Lord” when referring to God. Unfortunately the future of the church there looks rather grim. Lots of other good articles on gatestone as well, check them out too.”  Admin The Church of Sweden, although no longer a state church, remains an important force in Swedish society. In a time when Sweden’s political, media, and academic establishment are eager to jettison pretty much everything that makes Sweden Swedish, no institution plays a more [More]
“Another sign of just how spiritually dead churches in Europe are.” Admin The Church of Sweden has voted to adopt a controversial new handbook which says masculine references to God, such as “He” and “Lord” should be scrapped so as to be more “inclusive”.   Despite heavy criticism from organisations including Royal Swedish Academy, on Thursday the church approved the new handbook with a large majority.   Read More: Church of Sweden Officially Drops Calling God ‘Lord’, ‘He’ to be More Inclusive
Gospel references have been stripped from a nativity story because children’s fundamental biblical knowledge is so minimal they would fail to understand it, a leading Christian charity has said.   Scripture Union, one of the UK’s oldest Christian organisations for young people and children, have also simplified the story ahead of sending out the picture book, The First Christmas, to over 105,000 children this year.   Whilst previous publications have included Bible references and encouraged children to compare the story to the Gospels, this simplified version is written from the angle that children reading the book will know very little about [More]
Chinese officials and residents in a rural area of Jiangxi province have revealed a government plan to “melt the hard ice” in the hearts of Christians towards communism by denying them pivotal poverty relief packages if they do not replace images of Jesus in their households with photos of President Xi Jinping.   One official stated that the move was necessary because Christians are “ignorant” and need to be taught to worship the state, not God.   The move is the latest in a string of crackdowns against Christianity in the Xi era. Xi’s regime views Christianity, which has experienced a [More]
Boys as young as five should be able to wear tiaras at school without criticism, teachers in Church of England schools are to be told. Male pupils should also be free to dress up in a tutu or high heels without attracting any comment or observation, according to anti-bullying rules sent out by the Church yesterday. The instructions for the CofE’s 4,700 schools said they should not require children to wear uniforms that ‘create difficulty for trans pupils’. A petition before the U.S. Supreme Court carries big implications for the First Amendment.   Thomas More Law Center is asking the court to prevent what it calls Maine’s persecution of a pro-life pastor who is also a pro-life activist.   “Pastor Andrew March preaches peacefully on the public sidewalk outside the Planned Parenthood in Portland, Maine, which is a very unfriendly place for pro-lifers,” says TMLC attorney Kate Oliveri.   The pastor “calmly” talks to women, without yelling or using a megaphone, the attorney insists, but Portland officials are prosecuting him and others under a noise provision in the [More]
Attorneys have requested a rehearing for a case involving a veterans memorial that atheists have claimed is unconstitutional because of its Christian imagery.   In a 2–1 ruling last month, a panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit declared that the World War I Veterans Memorial in Bladensburg, Virginia, unconstitutional.   The 90-year-old and 40-foot-tall memorial is in the shape of a cross – something the Circuit considers a government endorsement of religion. The memorial is maintained with public funds.   First Liberty Institute and the Jones Day law firm have filed a petition for [More]
A Christian organization is calling out both the United Nations and the United Kingdom for discriminating against persecuted Christians in their refugee programs. According to Barnabas Aid, the U.K. government has colluded with the U.N. to use an “overwhelming majority” of the refugee slots available from the Middle East for Sunni Muslims “who are the majority in Syria.”   “But Christians, and other minorities have been repeatedly targeted for attack” by Islamic jihadist groups such as ISIS, the new report said.   Further, the organization reported that the U.K. government tried to conceal what it was doing in partnership with the U.N. 09/26/17   A tide of anti-Christian bigotry is growing in the corridors of Congress.     Two remarkable things unfolded last week.   The Democrats openly embraced socialism in the form of single-payer health care. And they announced a secular, anti-Christian test for public office. The two go together like Abbott and Costello. Or better yet, since this is far from funny, Marx and Lenin.  “Democratic Socialist” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ scheme for a single-payer, government-run health care system has already been endorsed by 16 Democratic senators. A similar bill introduced by Rep. John Conyers, Michigan Democrat, has 117 co-sponsors. [More]

“W. Europe in general is in a post Christian era. I don’t see this trend reversing any time soon.”  Admin The mosque invasion of churches in France has been going on for decades, but with the recent election of pro-Islam French President Emmanuel Macron and the attitude of entitlement of new Muslim immigrants, the tide is surging like never before. “Many Muslim immigrants express a sentiment of entitlement, believing they – one day [More]
