Christianity may be on the rise across Asia, Africa and South America, but it is sharply declining in the United Kingdom. A new report from The Benedict XVI Center for Religion and Society at St. Mary’s University discovered an alarming trend. “For every one person brought up with no religion who has become a Christian, 26 people brought up as Christians now identify as Nones,” the study found. So where does a Christian ministry go after a 2016 event in which 82,000 people came to a stadium, more than 180,000 watched from remote venues in all 50 states and some 90,000 tuned in via the Web, the largest audience ever for a singe evangelistic meeting in the U.S.?   Apparently, further down the same road, because there are no limits to simulcasting.   Greg Laurie’s Harvest America says there are many options for individuals, groups and churches to view its next major event at the University of Phoenix stadium June 11.   The project is entirely scalable online, spokesman Gary Zelasko told WND.   Laurie has been presenting [More]
“I agree with him, it’s time for Christian churches who are in association with the Scouts to look elsewhere. The organization Trail Life USA would be a good place to start and for girls it would be the American Heritage Girls.”  Admin Rev. Franklin Graham says it is not enough for the Mormon church to remove its teen boys from the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) following the organization’s approval of gay scout leaders and transgender members. “I think the Mormon Church—and all churches—should pull out of the Boy Scouts organization completely,” Graham posted on Facebook Friday: Read More: Franklin [More]

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is hosting this historic Summit that ends on Saturday. Franklin Graham, president and CEO of BGEA, kicked off the event last night. A long-running case brought by Northern Ireland’s taxpayer-funded Equality Commission against a family-owned bakery fined for refusing to violate Christian beliefs of the owners by promoting homosexuality has reached the U.K. Supreme Court. The Christian Institute, which has represented the family that owns Ashers Baking Co., announced Wednesday that the U.K. Supreme Court will consider a possible appeal by the Belfast-based bakers regarding their refusal to bake a cake bearing the campaign slogan “Support Gay Marriage.” The company is owned by the McArthur family, which, the institute said,”has been dragged through the courts in Northern Ireland for more than two [More]
The Archdiocese of Kansas City has ended it’s relationship with Girl Scouts of America and will instead align with the American Heritage Girls, a “Christ-centered leadership, and development ministry.”   It’s the seventh Catholic diocese or archdiocese to strongly encourage local parishes to support or create American Heritage Girl troops. American Heritage Girl founder and National Executive Director Patti Garibay told CBN News “this is probably the strongest statement” to date.   The Kansas City archdiocese says it studied Girl Scouts, both nationally and internationally for years and spent “hundreds of hours” with Girl Scout representatives, parents and pastors discussing [More]
It already was known that the California official who filed felony charges against two pro-lifers who went undercover to expose Planned Parenthood’s baby body-parts trade received thousands of dollars over the years from Planned Parenthood. But the political influence on the case because crystal clear this week when it took three judges a total of 12 hours to allow one of the defendants who had scheduled to turn herself in to be freed on bond. And then the bond was set at a stunning $75,000. Liberty Counsel lawyers are defending Sandra Merritt in the case. Other lawyers are defending David [More]
On April 30, 1789, after George Washington took the oath of office to become the first president of the United States, he proceeded to St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City, accompanied by Congress, to offer God a prayer of dedication on the new country’s behalf.   In that spirit, dozens of members of Congress will gather this year in the nation’s capital to offer their own prayers on behalf of America, the president and his cabinet, the Supreme Court and its justices, and Congress.   The sixth annual “Washington – A Man of Prayer” service will take place April [More]
Prospects of Christianity surviving in its birthplace, the Middle East, appear as grim this Holy Week as they have at any time in the last two millennia. Persecution of the world’s largest religion has intensified throughout the 20th century and that trajectory has only intensified in recent years, especially in Muslim-dominated countries. Jihadists appear to have repeatedly carried out one of their oft-stated goals of erasing any trace of Christianity in some regions, while in others persecution against Christians and other religious minorities are being held at bay — for now. The actual prospects facing Christianity in three of its [More]
The population of the United States is split now over Syria, political parties, President Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, abortion, “gay marriage,” Russia, Vladimir Putin, the Supreme Court, burning coal for fuel, clean air, clean water and the budget.   And Bible verses.   The newest addition to a long list of issues over which there is no general consensus surfaced just in the last week as the “National Bible Bee Game Show” competition was launched live on Facebook, a first for the format.   The “National Bible Bee” competition is being broadcast on the social-media network Tuesdays at 8 p.m. [More]
“London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together”, according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead “Londonistan“, as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist. Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate for Literature, was less generous; he called the UK “a cesspit for Islamists”.   “Terrorists can not stand London multiculturalism”, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan said after the recent deadly terror attack at Westminster. The opposite is true: British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Above all, Londonistan, with its new 423 mosques, is built [More]
A number of Chinese Christians were injured and needed hospital treatment after they resisted police officers who were ordered to install security cameras in their churches, reports said.   The clashes took place in churches in Wenzhou, a city known as “China’s Jerusalem” located in Zhejiang Province, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Monday. China’s communist government reportedly ordered the installation of the surveillance equipment at churches for “anti-terrorism and security purposes.”   However, Christians in Wenzhou, who number about a million, said the measure is part of the Communist government’s continued “crackdown on Christianity.”   “Government officials came [More]
Christians remained the largest religious group in the world in 2015, making up nearly a third (31%) of Earth’s 7.3 billion people, according to a new Pew Research Center demographic analysis. But the report also shows that the number of Christians in what many consider the religion’s heartland, the continent of Europe, is in decline. Christians had the most births and deaths of any religious group in recent years, according to our demographic models. Between 2010 and 2015, an estimated 223 million babies were born to Christian mothers and roughly 107 million Christians died – a natural increase of 116 [More]

Two street preachers have today been convicted of a public order offence, after a public prosecutor claimed that publicly quoting parts of the King James Bible in modern Britain should “be considered to be abusive and is a criminal matter”.   Prosecutor Ian Jackson also told the court that “although the words preached are included in a version of the Bible in 1611, this does not mean that they are incapable of amounting to a public order offence in 2016.”   Michael Overd and Michael Stockwell were found guilty under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 at Bristol Magistrates’ [More]
A Labour-run London council has become the first nationwide to allow its schools to opt out of providing Christian assemblies.   State-funded non-faith schools are required by law to offer a daily act of worship which must be “wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character”, unless granted special dispensation by the local authority.   But Brent Council in north-west London has used that loophole to offer all its schools an opt-out, encouraging them to take up the option and replace Christian worship with multi-faith assemblies, the Mirror has reported.   Read More: Multi-Faith Assemblies to Replace Christian Worship in [More]

“College costs four years and $100,000 to discover that you can’t know anything.” Variations of that sentiment have been circulated by trend watchers, cultural commentators and worldview speakers like myself for years now. Over a decade ago, in his excellent and heavily footnoted work “Brainwashed,” author Ben Shapiro observed that a college “education” at many universities…

The Islamic call to prayer was made in Gloucester Cathedral last week during a multi-cultural exhibition, which also included Buddhist chanting, Rasta drumming and a pagan rock band. Tim Dieppe explains that the Islamic call to prayer is an explicit denial of Christianity, and an invitation to worship a different god.    A multi-cultural exhibition was launched in Gloucester Cathedral last week with the Islamic call to prayer. This prompted some criticism, and the Cathedral subsequently deleted their Facebook post on the call to prayer.   The Islamic call to prayer clearly states that “there is no god but Allah” and [More]
