By Ken Ham It’s no secret that government schools in the United States and around the world mostly teach that the earth has existed for billions of years, that people evolved from ape-like creatures, and that human life has no purpose or meaning greater than the life of an animal. As Christians, we need to teach our children about God and His creation as the Bible declares it and the truth of the Scriptures from the very first verse. Since most of our readers don’t get the American Atheist magazine delivered to their homes, I thought I’d share with you [More]
“Is Mr. O trying to send a message by choosing this date? We’ll see” Admin No doubt it’s just a quirk of the calendar, but President Obama is making his announcement to grant legal status for millions of illegal immigrants on Mexico’s “Revolution Day.” The president’s prime-time address Thursday coincides with the date in 1910 when the Mexican revolution began. The timing hasn’t escaped the notice of the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, a group that opposes the president’s plan. “apparently Mr O, our resident agent provocateur, is planning to stir up as much trouble as possible around the country regarding what’s going on in Ferguson, MO. Is he trying to start a race war, it sure seems that way. If there was ever a time to pray for our country this is it.”  Admin Whatever is about to go down when the grand jury announces its decision in the Darren Wilson/Michael Brown case, rest assured America, our president is on it. In fact, according to Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill who spoke to Obama about Ferguson on Tuesday, the president [More]
Advocates for religious freedom told lawmakers Wednesday that there is an increasing climate of intolerance toward people of faith in the military and called for Congress to keep up pressure on the Pentagon to ensure service members’ First Amendment rights aren’t violated. “Our service men and women do not give up their religious freedom and constitutional rights simply because they join the military,” Travis Weber, a former Navy pilot and director of the Family Research Council’s Center for Religious Liberty told a House Armed Services subcommittee. “Simple objection to another’s religious speech is not a basis for silencing that speech. “As i mentioned in previous posts the goal of the left is to brainwash kids with evolution and breakdown their morals to turn them into godless heathens, well here is another example of it.”  Admin CAUTION: The following article includes some graphic descriptions of sexuality in explaining the contents of a sex ed program intended for ten-year-olds. Last year, Chicago’s public school district outraged local parents and made national headlines when it announced its new sex education program would include kindergarteners. “This is typical of leftists and secularists, vicious and intolerant of anything but their own godless, heathenistic views” Admin A secular organization is pressuring Scotland’s Parliament to ban the teaching of biblical creation in all public schools, claiming that evolution is the only ‘established science’ that explains the history of life. The Scottish Secular Society (SSS) is an organization in Scotland that seeks “to support and further the cause of secularism.” The society was founded by secularist and homosexual activist Garry Otton, who says he has a deep hatred for religion. By Ken Ham Construction on a new Bible museum in Washington, DC, has begun and will attempt to show the “impact, history, and narrative” of the Bible. By Ken Ham An argument used in some recent blogs and social media posts is the idea that teaching young-earth creation leads to atheism! In a recent blog post, James McGrath, associate professor of religion and philosophy at Butler University (and well known for his opposition to Answers in Genesis), associates biblical creation with idolatry and says that we are leading people toward atheism. He claims, “The irony is that not only the wall young-earth creationists build, but the system of thought that they are protecting, is entirely a human construction—exactly the sort of thing that they tell people is [More]
