By kpennock On this episode of ID the Future, Dr. Wolf-Ekkehard Lönnig, an expert in plant breeding and formerly affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Germany, further explores that clash of views modern evolutionists often paper over—Darwinism vs. Mendel. Lönnig discusses how Darwinian evolutionary biology held back acceptance of the laws of inheritance, discovered by Gregor Mendel, abbot at the Augustinian Abbey of St. Thomas, Brunn. Mendel vs. Darwin, Pt. 1 Listen in as he explains Mendel’s laws and why they are still relevant for biology, and particularly genetics. Mendel vs. Darwin, Pt. 2 Lönnig

Marketing research group Glocalities conducted a 24-country survey about people’s belief in aliens. They released their results just before the next widely anticipated Star Wars installment. How do biblical truths and scientific facts impact humanity’s concept of aliens from outer space? Reuters news summarized some of the survey results.1 Sixty-one percent of 26,000 respondents said “yes” when asked if they believe in “some form of life on other planets.” That lifeform could mean bacteria or something more intelligent. Forty-seven percent believe “in the existence of intelligent alien civilizations” out there somewhere. We apparently live in alien-crazed societies. Where

The Institute for Creation Research has monitored the steady flow of fresh-looking fossils for over a decade. The year 2017 was impressive with its discoveries of biochemical variety that includes proteins, pigments, and even a pineal gland. Each such discovery presents a real challenge to the millions-of-years age assignments for these fossils, since best-case scenarios predict that biochemicals fizzle out in less than one million years. By Ken Ham The ability to study God’s creation—a rational universe we can make sense of—and do science is a great gift from our Creator. Science should move us to praise and glorify him. But, sadly, many worship the created creatures rather than their Creator. And many children are indoctrinated in government schools to think this way, instead of being encouraged to look to God’s Word, use that as the basis for science, and then do good science for God’s glory. Well, we have unique and exciting Learn more about the Creation Museum’s Explore days. Jennifer Rivera, the Creation Museum’s

Pluto was reclassified in 2006, being downgraded to the new category of dwarf planet. By Creation Moments When I was a boy, there were nine planets. I remember reports in 1982 about the discovery of a tenth planet. Nobody actually saw the alleged tenth planet through a telescope. However, measurements were made of the orbits of other planets, and perturbations from where they thought the orbits should be were noted. It was assumed that these perturbations were caused by a large planet beyond the orbit of Pluto. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham This may come as a shock to you, but the American Atheists have released a billboard I can actually support! Each year as sort of their own (purposeless) holiday tradition, this group puts up several billboards in the United States. Usually the boards mock Christianity or urge people to skip church (as one of their current billboards does). But this year, to promote the upcoming American Atheist National Convention in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, they created a different kind of billboard—one I can support! This billboard reads, “Just like Santa Claus, the atheists are comin’ to town.” …read
