By Creation Moments What arrogance to tell someone that he is a fool! How much more arrogant, if that man is a highly educated, highly qualified scientist, with a string of degrees and doctorates to his name. Such a man might think that he has the right to comment on the existence, or rather the non-existence, of God, and that his intellectual superiority will be sufficient to convince his hearers. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham It’s exciting to hear how God is using the Ark Encounter Christian-themed attraction. Well over a million people have been exposed to the message of biblical authority and the gospel since we opened in Northern Kentucky. Many people from various backgrounds and ages have been influenced by what they saw and heard. I thought I would share a few of these testimonies with you. All of the following testimonies came from posts or comments on my Facebook page (and these represent just a small sampling of the Ark feedback we’ve been receiving): [A] friend asked my advice [More]

By Ken Ham The documentary Is Genesis History?—which featured two Answers in Genesis’ scientists, among others—did extremely well in movie theaters across America. After so many theaters sold out of tickets, there were encore showings across the United States. Now you can have an opportunity to see it on the big screen again with Theatrical on Demand. Is Genesis History? is an exceptional documentary, hosted by Del Tackett, that features interviews with PhD scientists and Bible experts. It shows that Genesis is indeed history and that science supports what we read in God’s Word about earth’s origins and early history. [More]

By Creation Moments When I was a department head in a high school in Wales, I had to kit out a new science laboratory. My team and I chose laboratory work surfaces, made from a specially designed material. This artificial material was resistant to corrosion by strong acids, and other chemicals and solvents. It was impervious to ink, so that graffiti left by schoolchildren could easily be removed. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments

By Creation Moments Ernst Haeckel is famous for having produced diagrams of embryos, to show their similarity. His idea was that “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny”. In other words, the developmental stages, through which an embryo goes (ontogeny), are a sort of recapitulation of the evolution of that organism (phylogeny). I clearly remember being taught this, as an evidence of evolution, when I was in elementary school. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham It’s always exciting to see researchers and scientists looking to God’s creation for innovative designs to solve problems. A recent news article highlighted yet another example of biomimicry (copying God’s design): robot grippers for use in outer space, inspired by the design of gecko feet. These new grippers could grab and hold floating objects in microgravity, which is not an easy thing to do since many chemical adhesives don’t work in the various temperatures in space, and suction doesn’t work in a vacuum. Researchers hope these new grippers will eventually help robots move space junk to safer, [More]
By schaffee On this episode of ID the Future, John G. West, associate director of Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture, explains the Darwinian basis for getting rid of the unfit. One way this manifested itself in the 20th century was in the eugenics movement’s disturbing push for compulsory sterilization. Listen in to learn about prominent scientists who supported these efforts, and the disturbing facts about how far they advanced toward making their ideas a reality. By Creation Moments As a child in the 60s, going for a meal at my Godmother’s house was a fascinating experience. In those days, many families would get out the best dinnerware for such occasions, and would probably provide napkins—or serviettes as we called them.. But my Godmother would fold the paper serviettes into swans, rabbits and all manner of beautiful objects. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham At Answers in Genesis we want to reach everyone with the gospel and the message of biblical authority. That’s why we host Deaf Day at the Creation Museum each year in Northern Kentucky. This year, Deaf Day is October 14, 2017, and at the Ark Encounter on October 15, 2017! For Deaf Day, the museum’s shows, presentations, and special programs will all be captioned or interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL). ASL interpretation will also be provided through the museum, and there will be a special Deaf-led presentation on dinosaurs and the Bible. Deaf or …read more [More]
By Ken Ham Is Jesus not welcome in Australian government-run schools? Australian media, including the national newspaper The Australian, are carrying stories about an education policy in the schools of Queensland that is extremely disturbing. This report states, “Queensland education officials have moved to ban references to Jesus in the primary school yard, with an unofficial policy that takes . . . aim at junior evangelists,” is how The Australian reports on a new move by the state’s Education Department. The minister of education, however, is quoted as saying: Ms Jones said the Palaszczuk Government supported religious instruction in state [More]
By Ken Ham Jerry Coyne, an ardent atheist and evolutionist, caused waves recently with his blog post entitled, “Should One Be Allowed to Euthanize Severely Deformed or Doomed Newborns?” His blog answered this question with a resounding “yes,” sparking outrage and disgust. Although we certainly wouldn’t agree with Coyne’s conclusions, the logic of his argument makes sense in light of his naturalistic evolutionary/secular worldview. Abortion, Infanticide, and Inconsistent Outrage Coyne writes, If you are allowed to abort a fetus that has a severe genetic defect, microcephaly, spina bifida, or so on, then why aren’t you able to euthanize that same [More]
By Creation Moments Could the stuff of science fiction be a reality in the outer reaches of our Solar System? As a boy, I read two sci-fi novels, which proposed that the planet Venus was covered in ocean: Lucky Starr and the Oceans of Venus, by atheist writer Isaac Asimov (published in 1954 under the pseudonym Paul French) and Perelandra (1943), by Christian writer C.S. Lewis. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham Looking for the adventure of a lifetime and a one-of-a-kind experience? Well, I would highly recommend a raft trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon with our friends at Canyon Ministries and Answers in Genesis. These trips combine adrenaline rushes with camping under the stars, exploring God’s beautiful creation, and creation apologetics teaching in the most amazing classroom—the Grand Canyon! In all my travels, none have been as exciting or educational as my Grand Canyon trip. These trips include white water rafting down the Colorado River, North America’s biggest whitewater; daily hikes in gorgeous side [More]

By Creation Moments Xerography is the process used in most copying machines today. The page you want copied is exposed to the bright light in the machine. That light enables the machine to make an image of your original, using electrostatic charges to record the light and dark spots on your original. The toner – that fine black powder – is then drawn to those spots on the copier paper in exactly the same spots that were dark on your original. After the powder is fixed in place, your copy – perfect in every detail – pops out. read more [More]
By Ken Ham We often think of our generation as far superior to those who’ve come before us. We seem to have accomplished so much that ancient man seems primitive and less intelligent in comparison. But this simply isn’t true. A recent study tested a guidebook’s claim that whispers and pin-drops could be heard at the back of the ancient Greek amphitheater of Epidaurus (an outdoor theater still in use today). The study revealed those claims are slightly exaggerated. Someone sitting in the back can’t hear a pin drop, but the sound of a coin dropping would be faintly heard [More]
