By Ken Ham The Cincinnati Zoo has a brand new addition to the gorilla exhibit. One of the gorillas, called Asha, gave birth to a healthy baby gorilla. Now, this is very exciting, and I’ve enjoyed many family outings to this excellent, well-known zoo (located about 30 minutes from our Creation Museum)—despite its evolutionary content. But the Cincinnati Enquirer‘s write-up about the baby gorilla includes some claims that are clearly driven by an evolutionary view of the world. The reporter writes that the “dad Jomo walked out into the public space and gave the crowd a serious look” and that

By Creation Moments Just about every public school textbook once included the example of the peppered moth. The moth is used as a prime example of natural selection. Supposedly, as the trees in the English countryside began to be covered with coal pollution in the mid 1800s, the light colored tree trunks became darker. The peppered moth exists in two varieties – black and white – and was said to rest on the tree trunks. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham My brother Stephen recently had the opportunity to challenge atheists at their booth at the Kentucky State Fair. Here is the report he sent me: My family and I went the Kentucky State Fair recently. Dave (my son) placed second in the open division for pencil drawing. We were all very excited. While we were there, we spent quite some time walking through all the different booths representing different companies and organizations. Among them was a booth representing the Association of Atheists, Agnostics, Humanists, and Free Thinkers. I was drawn to the booth because at the very

By Creation Moments Not all dangerous predators can be seen. One of the most dangerous predators in a drop of pond water is Amoeba proteus. This amoeba literally terrorizes its one celled pond mates because they can smell him coming to engulf them. Among his favorite snacks are one celled creatures of the genus Euplotes. But Euplotes can defend themselves. When some members of this genus smell the amoeba coming, they dart away to safety. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham UK atheist Richard Dawkins caused outrage from many quarters due to some tweets he made last week. The Independent in England reported it this way: But after engaging in conversation with a number of users, his ethical values appeared to come a little unstuck. “994 human beings with Down’s Syndrome deliberately killed before birth in England and Wales in 2012. Is that civilised?” @AidanMcCourt asked. “Yes, it is very civilised. These are fetuses, diagnosed before they have human feelings,” Dawkins responded. “I honestly don’t know what I would do if I were pregnant with a kid with

Listen Now. On this episode of ID the Future, the CSC’s Rob Crowther speaks with Casey Luskin, co-author of the new book Science & Human Origins. There are frequent and spurious claims made in the media that the genetic and fossil evidence of human-ape common ancestry is incontrovertible. In Science and Human Origins, Doug Axe, Ann Gauger, and Casey Luskin seek to equip readers with the knowledge to discern interpretation from fact and rhetoric from evidence. Listen in as Luskin introduces the book and specifically discusses his own assessment of the fossil data.

By Ken Ham Because the human race has been in a spiritual battle for 6,000 years (since Genesis 3), the Bible uses a lot of battle imagery concerning spiritual warfare. For instance, we read this in the book of Ephesians: Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith

On this episode of ID the Future, hear Casey Luskin’s interview with Issues, Etc., in which he responds to false claims that intelligent design theory is based on religious belief. Casey discusses how many Darwin doubters have found the scientific evidence for Darwinian evolution to be greatly lacking, despite claims of a “scientific consensus” on evolution.
By Creation Moments Scripture frequently makes reference to the fact that birds are not very smart compared to human beings. The tropical wetland bird called the jacana shows that you don’t have to be very smart to be deceptive. The jacana is noteworthy for several reasons. It is one of only 20 species of birds in the world where the female leaves the care of the young to the males. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham Over two weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about a Creation Museum digital billboard that was placed in Washington, DC. As you know, the nation’s capital features one of the leading atheistic evolutionary museums in the world: the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Because millions of people visit Washington, DC, each year, we decided to reach out to this influential city and let people know about a museum where they can learn the truth concerning origins, God’s Word, and the gospel—the Creation Museum. We also wanted people to know that this year, kids twelve and under can

By Ken Ham Creation Museum member Bob Worstell shared something interesting with us recently. About 55 years ago, he subscribed to the magazine Popular Science but soon stopped. A few weeks ago, Bob thought he would subscribe again to Popular Science, and he received a trial issue. The first copy he got in the mail, 55 years later, was one with Bill Nye “the Science Guy” on the cover. In a long—and sometimes combative—article (note the cover’s depiction), Nye discussed his debate with me last February. The debate became something of a national event, with a conservatively estimated 15 million

Click here to listen. On this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin addresses the question: Is intelligent design science? While the precise definition of “science” has long been debated, most would agree that there are certain qualities that clearly define some ideas as science. Luskin examines the theory of intelligent design by this criteria, showing how ID uses the scientific method, undergoes peer review, and does not require non-natural causes.
By Creation Moments Dung beetles may not be a very pleasant subject, but after all, someone has to do the housekeeping. So God created what man has classified into 30,000 species of dung beetle. Many will form their finds into a ball about the size of a croquet ball and roll it home for the wife and kids. Others tunnel beneath a find and set up housekeeping there. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments
