Many American children are looking forward to the arrival of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, bearing presents for good little boys and girls. But most of those celebrating don’t know that there is a real man behind the story of Santa Claus, and that real man was a Christian persecuted because of his faith and actions. “For more great teaching on faith, prayer and healing click here.” Admin There is a healing anointing that’s available today to heal sick bodies. And we can tap into that healing flow by faith. But did you know we can get the same results even when that anointing is not in manifestation? We can receive healing anytime by acting in faith on the Word. Look at what the Bible says: MARK 11:23–2423 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in [More]

Padina was ready to kill herself on live TV to earn Allah’s favor and prove the God of the Christians was powerless. Instead, she met Jesus Christ and saw Him heal her mother from sickness. She became passionate to introduce her countrymen to the Savior. Today she leads a house church network inside Iran, including training church leaders to be ready to face arrest, harassment and persecution. She’ll tell us how they prepare to face persecution, and describe the ways that VOM is helping and strengthening the church in Iran today. Finally, we’ll talk about specific ways to pray for [More]
“For more great teaching on faith, prayer and healing click here.” Admin WHY DON’T SOME people believe that their faith in God will work? I know from experience that a lot of people have faith in my faith and the faith of others. But they do not have confidence that their own faith in God will work. For some reason, they do not believe in themselves. They do not believe in what Christ has wrought for them. They do not believe who and what they are in Christ Jesus. This kind of thinking can defeat anyone. When we don’t know [More]
“For more great teaching on faith, prayer and healing click here.” Admin NO MATTER WHO we are—no matter how strong we are in the Word—Satan will try to defeat us. He’ll bring negative thoughts our way and try to get us to have a pity party. But pity parties are not of God. God is involved in victory parties! When the devil brings a pity party our way, we must recognize and resist it. Jesus said, “See that you are not troubled” (Matt. 24:6 NKJV). We must be bold! We must be motormouths, speaking the Word of God. At times [More]
When life’s events start your mind racing, remember the still, small voice of God.   It was late, and the storm raged on.   Where was she?   Abby, my then nine-year-old, had gone to a theme park with her best friend. I had felt okay about letting her go—but that was before the tornado warnings. Now, I just wanted her home—crouched in the hall closet with the rest of us. I wanted to know she was safe. I wanted to hug her. I wanted to protect her.   My husband, Jeff, and I prayed that God would watch over [More]
“Great story of a Muslim woman’s conversion to Christ after He appeared to her in a dream.”  Admin   Word of Gulzhan’s traitorous decision spread quickly through the village.   She had been studying the Word of God with a Frontiers field worker when, one day, Jesus met her in a dream. From that point on, Gulzhan had devoted herself to following Him.   But living in a village where Islam is deeply embedded in the people’s hearts and minds meant that she faced stiff resistance from her community.   As winter rolled around, the cold weather drove villagers off [More]
A professor discovered a stamp seal with King Hezekiah’s name that was pulled from an excavation site in 2009. (Credit: Twitter) Archaeologists discovered the impression of a seal that bears the name of King Hezekiah and was found during recent excavations by Jerusalem. “[It’s] the closest as ever that we can get to something that was…
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s this—promotion takes preparation.   That truth was never more evident than when I took a magazine feature writing position at a worldwide ministry, only to be informed I’d actually be doing something entirely different…and I wasn’t thrilled about it.   My editor explained that they had a greater need for another ghostwriter, so I would be fulfilling that role. During my years at Indiana University journalism school, I’d been told to “find my voice.” So, I’d been working hard every day since college graduation to do just that. Now, my new [More]
I had been studying for several days, trying to prepare for a women’s retreat where I’d be speaking over the weekend, and nothing was coming together. I’d write a few thoughts, look up a few scriptures, pray for guidance, and still it all seemed flat to me.   I was worried.   I texted several of my prayer warrior friends, asking them to agree with me in prayer that everything would come together in time for the retreat. I specifically said, “I just want everything I say and do to point these women to the Cross.”   Still, I felt like [More]
In a message recorded at a recent VOM conference (www.VOMEvents.com), VOM Radio host Todd Nettleton shares stories of some of the witnesses (Acts 1:8) for Christ that he’s met during 17 years of service with The Voice of the Martyrs. Todd offers Biblical truths from the lives of these Christians—Biblical truths that Christians who are not persecuted can practice and live by in order to impact those around them for Jesus Christ. Listen: Persecution Blog: Five Qualities of a Witness (Martyr)
“Food for thought.”  Admin One by one the arrows struck his flesh, and one by one Stanley Albert Dale pulled them out and broke the cane shafts over his knee. The blood flowed from his many wounds and onto the riverbank. The screaming Yali warriors feared that the white man, or duong, was immortal. Already, the Yali in another village had tried to kill Dale. They were frightened by his message, for his followers had burned their traditional idols and places of spirit worship. They had also shot Dale, but the duong had walked away and completely healed. Dale had [More]
“When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing – they believe in anything.” That’s what G.K. Chesterton told us, and it’s true. Because so many of us no longer believe in the God of the Bible, we no longer have any standard for truth. Some even dispute whether there is such a thing…
World Missionary Press (WMP) is seeing an increasing hunger for God’s Word in African countries, reflected in requests for their Scripture booklets. “We’re having tremendous feedback from Africa. It seems to be moving across the continent,” says WMP’s Helen Williams. “Right now we have projects going in 10 or 12 different countries in Africa. We have about 20,000,000 booklets on order for different places in Africa.” Read More: Requests for Scripture increase in Africa – Mission Network News
I love reading stories from the great revivalists and evangelists. In fact, I own a number of books that recount wonderful healings and breakthroughs. Many of these are the kind of inspirational stories that make you want to get up and do something incredible for Jesus.   I recently pulled out a little volume called Miracles by the late R.W. Schambach (1926-2012). This book was originally published in the early ’60s and recounts some of his experiences under salvation-healing evangelist A.A. Allen (1911-1970) and when he later launched his own ministry. This is an exciting little book that stirs up a [More]
By Ken Ham Well, the Barna Group recently did a survey of the population of England to better understand the religious beliefs of the English. The results are saddening and eye-opening. According to the report, 57% of people in England identify as Christians, which sounds like a great number, but of this 57% only a shocking 9% are practicing Christians. Forty percent of people do not think or don’t know if Jesus was a real historical person. For those who accept Jesus’ historicity, 30% think He was just a spiritual leader or prophet and 17% think He was just a [More]
Before Patrick Klein leaves on a trip to deliver Bibles into hostile and restricted nations, he asks God to show him His plan for that trip. Sometimes God closes the eyes of customs officials and ushers the Bibles through without incident. Other times God has a different plan: Patrick is stopped and has opportunities to witness to officials trying to confiscate Bibles and hinder the gospel. After meeting with Christians who have faced imprisonment and beatings for God’s Word, Patrick has learned to see either outcome as a part of God’s plan. This week on VOM Radio you’ll hear more [More]
JERUSALEM – I understand why Israel is increasingly hated by the rest of the world. I really do. I understand the growing anti-Semitism in America and around the globe. If you are a Bible-believing Jew or Christian, it’s no mystery. In fact, it is predicted – prophesied. What I don’t get is why some professing Christians…
“Inspiration from a Bible verse told her what to do to see her mothers health restored. Great story. You can watch some of her classic silent movies on Youtube like Broken Blossoms.”  Admin In this story from May 1982, the legendary actress shares how a particular Bible verse reminded her that God’s power can push the darkness aside in times of trouble. Ours was a small, close-knit family. Just we three girls—Mother, my sister Dorothy and me. Our world was that of the stage, and then later the movies, silent movies. Our friends were pioneers of the new medium—Mary Pickford, Anita [More]
In this story from 1958, singer and actress Dale Evans shares how faith helped her cope with her career and busy life with husband Roy Rogers and their kids. The front door slammed as Cheryl ran for the high-school bus. “Three children off,” I made a mental note. “Four to go.”   In the bedroom I had finished the first braid in Dodie’s hair and was reaching for the rubber band when a shriek from the bathroom sent me running there. Debbie had cut her lip against the washstand.   I was still dabbing with a wad of cotton when [More]
“If you are a pet lover you’ll find this a touching story.”  Admin God’s love finds us in many inspiring and surprising ways, a lesson I’ve learned again and again, usually when I am at my lowest, when I am grieving but trying to move forward. Because forward is the only option.   This time it was a lesson in trust. In letting go.  I stood on a long narrow path through the woods, the tall grasses of a marsh rising up on both sides, fanned by the autumn breeze. The trees were nearing their peak, kaleidoscopic against a cloudless [More]
Holding Mom’s frail little hand, I watched her as she rested. I was thankful she didn’t seem to be in any pain at the moment. During that season, years ago, as Mom battled colon cancer, we tried to stay positive and look for reasons to be thankful.  Mom and I had been watching lots of “Murder She Wrote” reruns over the past few weeks as I sat next to her hospital bed, but today I needed more than Angela Lansbury could offer. I needed to hear from God. We were weary in our fight, and I desperately needed to hear [More]
A new survey reveals that continuous attempts by Muslims to rewrite history and make false claims about Islam are starting to bear fruit as an increasing number of protestant pastors are starting to call Islam spiritually good. The news comes from a LifeWay Research survey of 1,000 Protestant pastors. Five years ago only nine percent of pastors said there were similarities between Islam and Christianity. However, in the most recent survey the number nearly doubled with 17 percent saying the two religions shared common ground. At first the numbers may not seem problematic, as over 80 percent still agree there [More]
Imagine hefting a suitcase with 80 Bibles inside onto the X-ray machine in Iran. Patrick Klein has carried Bibles into hostile and restricted nations all over the world. He’s been warned many times to STOP. But he continues, answering the call of God to take the Word of God into some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places. He’s seen God close the eyes of customs agents and border guards. And he’s also seen God open the hearts of those most opposed to the Gospel. Listen as Patrick shares stories of the miraculous ways God intervened to allow him and his Vision [More]
“A video of his interview on the Jim Bakker show is at the end of the article.”  Admin Firing back at accusations, which proved incorrect, he had predicted the end of the world, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn appeared on “The Jim Bakker Show” to explain how the 2015 Shemitah actually fit the usual pattern of the seven-year biblical cycle. “The most central dominant template of the Shemitah that is in the book again, again and again is not a date crash (which has happened twice) but is specifically this – a rising stock market, a bull market, which when it comes [More]
