Claims about the ‘oldest-ever amber fossil’ yet found just don’t stack up. If these tiny creatures evolved from some common arthropod ancestor, then one would surely reasonably expect that the fossil record should show a variety of transitional forms from that arthropod ancestor to today’s gall mites. However, when scientists recently described some of the earliest gall mites from these fossils, they found the contrary. The ancient gall mites look just like modern ones. Study lead author David Grimaldi said, “they’re dead ringers for (modern) gall mites.”7 Read more here: creation.com
For over 50 years in a Russian experiment, foxes have been selected for one trait—tameness. The results have been fascinating. A population has resulted that is as tame as domestic dogs. These changes have been associated with changes in the neuroendocrine system, including lower levels of blood cortisol. Developmental changes have been seen as well. In addition to these traits seen throughout the population, other changes have appeared at a rate higher than would be expected by mutation alone. The most notable example is a white spotting pattern which often results in a star on the fox’s face. The types

Now, we don’t have enough AiG staff for each of you to have your own personal creationist tour guide as you visit national parks, zoos, and museums this summer. But you can do what this family below did. They took some of our AiG resources with them as they visited a secular museum to ensure that their kids received the correct teaching. The dad wrote the following to us: I took my family to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum for the first time. Before going, we talked about how the fossils were real, but not the evolutionary stories that

Did the Bible come about as man evolved? The Rev. Michael Dowd thinks so. Now, Dowd is a graduate of Palmer Seminary with a Master of Divinity and considers himself an “evolutionary evangelist.” In a recent article for the Huffington Post, Dowd has come up with a story of how the Bible may have come to be—from an evolutionary viewpoint! Basically, Dowd holds that the Bible started as cultural accounts and traditions, which were passed down and changed over time—until being written down. He explains as follows: Alas, when a story becomes Scripture, it ceases to evolve—at least in any

Will atheists be able to get rid of Christianity? Atheists Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss think so. Dawkins, a noted evolutionist and author of The God Delusion, and Krauss, professor of physics at Arizona State University and a frequent Creation Museum critic, recently appeared together in an interview to promote their new documentary The Unbelievers. This film was produced to attack what they call “religion.” Of course (as is obvious from Dawkins’ book The God Delusion), the movie’s main purpose is to attack Christianity. Keep in mind that these are the two people who accuse us of committing “child abuse”

Steve Jones is a geneticist and former head of the department of genetics, evolution, and environment at University College London. He is a television presenter and author on the subjects of biology and evolution, and he has a new book out titled The Serpent’s Promise: The Bible Retold as Promise. This book is another atheist attack on Christianity. Many years ago when I was speaking in the United Kingdom, I had an interesting encounter with Steve Jones. I was interviewed by BBC television on a program that had three other people opposing me, including Jones. At one point in the interview I asked Jones to give the BBC television audience his best evidence for evolution. He then

Lately, the target of many people who hold to an old earth and evolutionary ideas has been homeschooling families. There is recent article by Christianity Today titled “A New Creation Story: Why do more homeschoolers want evolution in their textbooks?” It details how some homeschooling families want to see more evolutionary ideas in their curricula. From my experience speaking at homeschool conventions and meeting with many of its leaders, I highly suspect this is a very small minority within the homeschool movement, but the media have made a big deal of this. And that’s often the way it Read more

No! Can the big bang cosmology be mixed with the historical account of creation? Again, no. But according to J. Warner Wallace, a Christian speaker for Stand to Reason, it can be. Now, the big bang view teaches a concept of creation that is completely opposite of Scripture’s account. According to this view, the universe came into existence billions of years ago. The big bang eventually led to the slow origin of the earth and solar system, and the earth was a molten, fiery rock. But Genesis 1 clearly describes liquid water when God created the earth: In the

Although most of the questions are answered on this site or in our core books, Dr Jonathan Sarfati provides in-depth answers so that the questioner and other readers can benefit. Hello there, G’day First I want to say I am a Christian and currently a freshman in college at a major secular university. By Ken Ham On Memorial Day weekend, the Creation Museum will open two new spectacular exhibits and the best zip-line course (2.5 miles of zip lines and 12 bridges, etc.) in our Tri-State region. One of the new exhibits will fill the large portico of the Creation Museum—filled with dragons! With all-original spectacular artwork, intriguing portrayals of many dragon legends, hundreds of Chinese lanterns, two large colorful dragons from China and intriguing artifacts, this dragon display will be unique and awe inspiring. Jeff is from Sevierville, Tennessee (where we will be holding our national family conference in July, by the way). Ellie is from Tokyo, Japan. They have been doing a Bible study via Skype and then began corresponding. They decided to meet in person, so she came to the U.S. a week ago.
