“Just another example of PC zealots running amok. Why should a 10 yr. old be   informed about lesbianism anyways. These inspectors just can’t stand the fact that their godless agenda is not being implemented to their satisfaction.”  Admin A mother has told of her ten-year-old daughter’s devastation that her school was branded ‘intolerant’ after she gave the wrong answer when asked ‘what is a lesbian’. Ariella Wilkinson came home crying after Ofsted inspectors interrogated her about homosexuality during a visit to Grindon Hall Christian School. The free school, in Sunderland, has now been put in special measures after an [More]
The plight of Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran has caught America’s attention, but he is just the latest Christian to have his career vaporized by something that was said or written, according to religious liberty advocates. But unlike the dozens of other Christians who have lost jobs or businesses because they dared to violate the sensitivities of the LGBT community, Cochran’s firing became a national story. The fact that establishment media like the New York Times, ABC, NBC, CNN and others have reported the firing of Cochran is good, but it could also be bad. The widespread coverage could signal [More]
“How bizarre the world has become. Express a viewpoint that any rational person would consider sensible yet you are chastised for it. Political correctness is causing society to go downhill at warp speed.”  Admin A Christian magistrate has been disciplined by a Tory Cabinet Minister for expressing the belief that children should be raised by both a mother and a father. Richard Page told colleagues behind closed doors during an adoption case that he thought it would be better for a child to be brought up in a traditional family rather than by a gay couple. He was shocked a [More]
Many young people today who enjoy Christian music don’t know the name Andrae Crouch. But his peers knew him as the “father of modern gospel music,” a giant figure over five decades who helped lay the foundation for what is now known as contemporary Christian music while making a lasting mark in the mainstream scene, writing, producing and singing for the industry’s biggest names. A key figure in the Jesus Music movement of the 1960s and 1970s, he helped bridge the gap between black and white Christian music and was recorded by artists such as Elvis Presley and Paul Simon, [More]
While the year 2014 will go down in history for having the highest level of global persecution of Christians in the modern era, current conditions suggest the worst is yet to come. Today, Open Doors released its annual World Watch List, which ranks the top 50 countries where it is most dangerous and difficult to be a Christian. This year, the threshold was higher for a country to make the list, indicating that worldwide levels of persecution have increased. Topping the 2015 list for the 13th consecutive year is North Korea. Africa saw the most rapid growth of persecution, while [More]
Accolades continue to come in for the first feature-length film created by American Family Studios – and some of the responses to Summer Snow have eternal consequences. Summer Snow (DVD cover)Kendra White, co-director/co-writer for Summer Snow, explains the theme of the movie. “Summer Snow is a film about a little eight-year-old girl who has recently lost her mom,” she tells OneNewsNow. “The family is trying to regroup and come together, and the mom had sent the little girl a letter challenging her to change the world. We see how one person’s actions, how one life can make a difference.” Christian [More]
“Pastor Chuck Baldwin gives his views on what he sees ahead for America in 2015.”  Admin Every year about this time, we are inundated with self-proclaimed prognosticators telling us (with great certainty) what the New Year will bring. The vast majority of the time they are wrong; but, somehow, that doesn’t keep people from listening to these pseudo-prophets or from buying their publications and videos. So, let me say upfront: I am not a prophet, nor the son of a prophet. I have no crystal ball; and the Almighty has not privileged me with special revelation regarding future events. However, [More]

“Given her viewpoints I can see why she was warmly welcomed by the university, she fits in perfectly in a secular setting. It’s no wonder kids come out of such places as unbelievers.” Admin They should stop doing all those conversions and shouldn’t even “do religion” all the time, contends Rev. Jane Shaw, who plans to teach “empathy” in her religion classes. The school explained her duties are to provide “spiritual, religious and ethical leadership to the university community, serve as minister of Memorial Church and also teach undergraduates and graduate students as a professor.” Provost John Etchemendy praised her [More]
“Once again Mr. O showing where his true religious allegiances lie.”  Admin On Christmas Eve, religious police in the capital city of the Islamic Sultanate of Brunei ordered business owners to remove Christmas decorations or face arrest. When Brunei, a tiny oil-rich fiefdom that shares the island of Borneo with Malaysia and Indonesia, adopted Shariah law earlier this year, some questioned whether the harsh penal code that includes amputation and stoning for blasphemy and other crimes would actually be enforced since a third of Brunei’s population is not Muslim. The crackdown on Christmas this year answers the question. Restaurant and [More]
“Again not surprising since Mr. O is a great admirer of Islam and is using the Trojan horse of common core to disseminate it in our schools.”  Admin “You’re not in America anymore.” That’s what some high school seniors in Farmville, North Carolina, thought while working through their vocabulary assignment promoting the Muslim prophet Muhammad and other facets of Islamic religion. It was found to be within the standards of the Common Core. A Closer LookWith many students across America being told that the Bible and Christianity aren’t allowed inside public schools — which is an incorrect interpretation of the [More]
One of the ways that VOM sometimes encourages American Christians to support our brothers and sisters facing persecution is by asking our government leaders to speak out and act on their behalf. These efforts go back even to VOM’s founder, Richard Wurmbrand, who testified before a Senate committee and even took off his shirt in the hearing to show the deep torture scars on his body. But what is the best way to advocate for persecuted Christians to US officials? And does it make a difference? Do they listen? We’ve got answers to those questions and others this week on [More]
The Church of Scotland has taken a significant step towards ordaining practicing homosexual ministers, after a majority vote by local bodies. Out of a total of 45 regional presbyteries, over 30 are thought to have voted in favor of allowing congregations to appoint gay ministers who are in civil partnerships. The issue has already caused 18 ministers and hundreds of members to leave the denomination. A final decision will be made after draft legislation is passed to the Church of Scotland’s General Assembly in May. “Please remember to pray for him. With the new Republican majorities in both Houses now would be an excellent time to contact your senators and representative about working on securing Pastor Abedini’s release. It’s for sure Mr. O our supposed Christian president who is such a great admirer of Islam won’t do anything about it.”  Admin Saeed Abedini has written a heartbreaking letter to supporters about his painful time in prison. The pastor, currently imprisoned in Iran, will experience his first Christmas in prison entirely alone as all of his Iranian family have left the country. In the letter released [More]
“Great article on what’s happening in that war torn area and how the Gospel is spreading there.”  Admin Atrocities by the Islamic State (ISIS) are softening the hearts of Muslims to Christianity, and evangelistic techniques and technologies are proving effective, but locally-based missionaries say the main reason for the spike in conversions in the Middle East is simply that former Muslims are finding God is real. In war-torn areas of Syria and Iraq where ISIS is fighting to establish a caliphate, Muslim refugees to neighboring countries, Internally Displaced People and people remaining at home are learning about Christ from native [More]
Conservatives have been mocked for insisting there’s an ongoing war on Christmas, but now it looks like they may have simply been ahead of their time. American Atheists unveiled Wednesday the “War on Christmas” line-up on its television channel, AtheistTV, featuring “original programs proclaiming the truth about Christmas on December 24 and December 25, featuring scholars and celebrities from the atheist community.” Read More  ‘War on Christmas’: Atheists unveil anti-Christmas TV specials – Washington Times.
“It’s amazing just how far away we are getting from our Christian heritage in the name of tolerance. Certainly nothing good will come of it.”  Admin The Michigan State Capitol Commission has granted permission for the Satanic Temple to put up a display December 21 thru the 23 on capitol grounds. An out-of-state source has offered to put up a Nativity scene, but the problem is the displays must be removed at night and replaced in the morning. Gary Glenn of the American Family Association of Michigan was asked if the Satanists are putting up their scene for one of [More]
“Just another attempt to silence Christians and forbid the mentioning of Scripture in any government controlled setting.”  Admin The U.S. Army has issued a “letter of concern” to a Georgia chaplain for citing the Bible during a recent suicide prevention training session. According to reports, Col. David Fivecoat, the commander of the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade at Fort Benning, Ga., ordered Chaplain (CPT) Joe Lawhorn, to come to his office on Thanksgiving Day, at which time he presented him with the letter. NEW YORK (JTA) — Dimly lit, the stone slab, or stele, doesn’t look particularly noteworthy, especially when compared to the more lavish sphinxes, jewelry and cauldrons one encounters en route to the room where it is installed. Indeed, in a Twitter post this fall, art journalist Lee Rosenbaum described the nearly 13-by-16 inch c. 830 BCE rock, as “homely.” What’s significant about this stone — on view at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of its “Assyria to Iberia at the Dawn of the Classical Age” exhibit running through January 4 — is its inscription: “the earliest [More]
Even though most of the laws and guiding principles that govern this nation are predicated on the Bible, a surprisingly large proportion of young Americans have developed not only an ambivalence toward Scripture, but an extremely negative view of it, as well. A Closer LookIn the largest study ever undertaken by the Barna Group on a single generation’s take on the Bible, it found many trends in Millennials (Americans ages 18 to 29) that some might find disturbing when it comes to the unchurched and heartening — when looking at the practicing Christians surveyed. Partnering with the American Bible Society [More]
“Just another vile attack on Christians by the godless media.”  Admin Concerns are being raised over an episode of “Family Guy” that aired on Fox this past weekend, the parent company of Fox News Network and Fox Entertainment Group, which blasphemes Jesus Christ by mocking his purity and depicting the Messiah as desiring to lose his virginity with another man’s wife. “The 2,000 Year Old Virgin” was broadcast on Fox on Saturday, and was meant to be the Christmas version of “Family Guy,” an animated sitcom that often features off-color humor known to push the envelope. The show is produced [More]
“You just never know what an act of kindness might lead to!”  Admin When a young Filipino girl received a Christmas gift-filled shoebox in 2000, she couldn’t have imagined that one day she would meet the 7-year-old boy from Idaho who packed the box in a small town 7000 miles away. And, she never dreamed that she would marry the American boy, now grown up, 14 years later. This month Joana and her new husband Tyrel Wolfe dropped off their own gift shoeboxes at Samaritan’s Purse headquarters in North Carolina, where Operation Christmas Child is run, and told their remarkable [More]
“Just another sign of schools being more and more secularized.”  Admin Winterval is here again and two thirds of British schools are celebrating by saying ‘bah humbug’ to the traditional Christmas nativity play. This year thousands of children will be depicting festive favourites like aliens, punks and even businessman Alan Sugar instead of Jesus. A survey by the website Netmums shows that just one third of schools planned a traditional nativity, whilst half would be offering a modern take on the story. The characters in these plays are often unrecognisable from the original story, and the plays themselves are being [More]
A new book released last month reveals the accuracy of the Bible’s historical accounts and spotlights several recent findings that contradict the evolutionary time-frame. Bruce Malone, founder of Search for the Truth Publications, is a popular Christian speaker and author of several books, including “Censored Science.” His latest book, titled “Brilliant,” explores the timeline of world history through a biblical worldview. “Cultures throughout the world are filled with mysteries which do not fit the pervasive evolutionary time-frame, but make perfect sense if the Biblical timeline of history is understood,” Malone said in a press release. “‘Brilliant’ takes the Bible seriously [More]
“This is just another step towards the eventual establishment of a one world religion. The pope will fit into it nicely. Jesus calls us to preach the Gospel and point people to the truth, the pope sadly did none of this, certainly not in this instance.”  Admin In a move that drew some concerns from onlookers worldwide, the Roman Catholic pontiff known as Francis visited Turkey’s Blue Mosque on Saturday, expressing reverence during a moment of prayer observed by the nation’s grand mufti, who led him on a tour of the Islamic facility. According to reports, Francis took off his [More]
“Apparently the Christian principals on which it was founded are now unwelcome.”  Admin After faithfully serving the British Red Cross as a volunteer for two decades, the organization founded on Christian values dismissed 71-year-old Bryan Barkley because he expressed his biblical view about same-sex “marriage” at an unrelated event he attended earlier in the year in March. But despite its Christian roots, the Red Cross no longer reflects biblical views when it comes to the biblical definition of marriage as only being between one man and one woman. In fact, Red Cross officials clearly expressed to Barkley that his beliefs [More]
