By Dr. Nathaniel T. Jeanson Some assert that humans and chimpanzees are only 1 to 2% different, but careful re-tallying suggests there is a gigantic genetic gap between the two species. …read more Read more here: AIG Daily

A BBC News story reported on September 10 the discovery of a “new human-like species” in Africa, stating “researchers claim that the discovery will change ideas about our human ancestors.” As always, we at the Institute for Creation Research are extremely skeptical, taking such breaking news stories with a little more than a grain of salt. We have found that with more time and research, the preliminary spectacular claims of alleged “human ancestors” dissolve into a footnote, a non-story. More… …read more Read more here: icr.org
Spring rains flooded the Dallas area this year, including Lake Grapevine which is about 10 miles west of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) campus. Record water levels submerged entire lakeside parks and adjacent roads. As the water slowly receded, it revealed a reshaped shoreline—and dinosaur tracks. What kinds of creatures made these marks? By Ken Ham The media is buzzing with news that another supposed human ancestor has been found in an African cave. It was discovered by evolutionist Lee Berger, whose controversial claims about Australopithecus sediba have been in the news off and on since 2011. (You can read them in “Sediba with a Little Sleight of Hand,” “Sediba Fossils Fail to Connect the Evolutionary Dots,” “Karabo: The Smiling Missing Link,” and “Can Karabo Catch Up with Lucy’s Legacy?”) Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell, who frequently writes articles for Answers in Genesis, is working on a full-length article on this discovery, so keep checking [More]

Astronomers have discovered what appears to be the largest feature in the observable universe, and—according to the Big Bang model—it shouldn’t even exist. A team of Hungarian and U.S. astronomers say they have discovered a huge ring of nine gamma ray bursts (GRBs) that is five billion light years across. The scientists detailed their findings in “Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.” GRBs are thought to be the result of massive stars collapsing into black holes. Because black holes are typically found inside galaxies, astronomers say the ring of GRBs is evidence of a gigantic galaxy ring. All nine [More]
