By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, paleoentomologist Günter Bechly discusses the new dragonfly fossil that he discovered, described, and named after intelligent design theorist Michael Behe–Chrismooreia michaelbehei. Bechly describes what’s remarkable about this stunning fossil, explains some problems dragonflies poses for Darwinism, and shares some of the strangely uninformed criticisms he’s received for naming the species after Behe. In another Creation Moment, we discussed the fact that the famous scientist and mathematician Isaac Newton believed Genesis to be a true book. We would probably not want to follow Newton’s theological beliefs, given that they were Arian in nature, but it is not often realized that Newton wrote extensively on the subject of history. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham During a recent morning meeting, our staff was blessed by a performance from the Esangalo Choir. This choir of boys and girls from Uganda, Africa, is currently on tour across the United States, performing a high-energy concert in churches and other venues to encourage believers and raise funds and awareness for Helping Hands Foreign Missions. The concert was a joyful, encouraging way for our staff to start their day. The energy the Esangalo Choir brought with them was contagious! And it was exciting to hear about this ministry’s work of developing thriving, sustainable Christ-based communities among the

By Ken Ham Archaeologists in Peru have uncovered what they believe to be “compelling scientific evidence for the largest single mass child sacrifice event known in world history.” The remains of over 140 children, aged 5–14, were found buried with over 200 baby llamas in Huanchaquito-Las Llamas. The researchers believe these children and llamas were sacrificed 500 years ago to “fend off the repeated disruptions wrought by El Niño.” Evidence indicates they had their hearts taken out! People reading this story are understandably horrified—who would allow a priest to gruesomely kill children? And what kind of people group would kill

Joseph Priestley was, by all accounts, not a pleasant man. He was brought up in a dissenting chapel in Heckmondwicke, Yorkshire, having been born in Birstall, near Leeds, Yorkshire, in 1733. That chapel believed the Bible to be completely true, but Priestley began to develop ideas that rejected the divinity of Christ and the Virgin Birth. In adulthood, he was, therefore, a Unitarian. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments

The Bible’s message requires absolute accuracy of every word of its written text. Jesus referenced the eternal nature of His Word. Even the letters themselves—the “jots” and “tittles”—are under God’s authority. What is the consistent message of Scripture? Can we be certain the Bible is without error? Listen: The Institute for Creation Research
The Apostle Paul warned Timothy about pseudoscience and “false knowledge.” Today, many twist the meaning of Scripture to promote their interpretation of scientific data. What is the root of this issue? And how should Christians handle apparent conflicts between the Bible and science? Listen: The Institute for Creation Research

By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, host Mike Keas talks with Sean McDowell about his book Understanding Intelligent Design: Everything You Need to Know in Plain Language, co-authored with William Dembski and released ten years ago. Sean talks about changes over the past ten years: Everyone has a smartphone and can, quicker than ever, find someone taking the other side of an argument, and many young people are trusting feelings more and science less. But some things haven’t changed, Sean argues: ID isn’t just good science, it’s good common sense. It just needs to be explained

By Ken Ham Caves have been a source of wonder—and trepidation—for centuries. If you’ve ever had the experience of going below ground, surrounded by nothing but rock, you know what I mean. When you visit a popular cave site, you’ll likely see signs or hear from guides about how this cave system was formed by water trickling slowly from above over millions of years. But new research is turning that idea upside down! You’ll discover what new research is suggesting about the true origin of many of today’s caves in the latest issue of our popular multi-award-winning family magazine, Answers.

By Ken Ham Just a few weeks ago I was in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, and had the privilege of speaking at the Alberta Home Education Association Convention. My keynote talks received a great response as families swarmed the resource tables afterward. I found that people in Canada are hungry for answers! That’s why we’re so excited about our new outreach, Answers in Genesis–Canada, and our new online store designed for Canadians. The store just launched earlier this week.
By Ken Ham According to a new study of 4,700 American adults, the Pew Research Center found that 80% of Americans believe in God. But what (or who) do they mean by “God”? Well, for years now I’ve been telling people that when you say “God” to this secularized culture, you can’t just assume they understand that you mean the God of the Bible. Today, you actually have to define what you mean by the word “God.” And this new research bears this out. While 80% of Americans say they believe in God, when they were asked further questions, 23%

In Genesis 12:5, we read about Abram leaving Haran. Among his party were people acquired in Haran, as the NKJV, ESV, and CSB versions put it. The KJV and the earlier Geneva Bible refer to the ones taken from Haran as “the souls that they had gotten in Haran”. The Hebrew word being translated here is nephesh – a word that refers to the breath of life; an in-pouring of the Spirit. read more …read more Source: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham Was there ever an advanced civilization on earth before humans? That’s the “thought experiment” being posed in an article published in the International Journal of Astrobiology by two astrophysicists. They admit we can’t know if this scenario is true because all evidence of that civilization would be long gone. The “science” article summarizing their research begins, Imagine if, many millions of years ago, dinosaurs drove cars through cities of mile-high buildings. A preposterous idea, right? Over the course of tens of millions of years, however, all of the direct evidence of a civilization—its artifacts and remains—gets ground
