By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID The Future, philosopher and author David Berlinski joins geneticist and researcher Michael Denton for continued discussion on the debate over Darwinian evolution. Why has the theory persisted? What weaknesses threaten its existence in the 21st century? As Berlinski puts it: “…applying Darwinian principles to problems of this level of complexity is like putting a Band-Aid on a wound caused by an atomic weapon. It’s just not going to work.” Listen in as Berlinski and Denton explain why the Darwinian mechanism is being widely questioned as a viable theory of the origin and development [More]

By Ken Ham If you haven’t made plans to attend our Creation College Expo, there’s not much time left to do so! This annual event is taking place next week, November 2–3, 2018, at the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky and features representatives from colleges that take a stand on biblical authority from the first verse of the Bible, such as six literal days, a young earth, a global flood, etc.. And best of all, it’s free! Here’s what you will enjoy by attending this conference: An opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from Christian colleges across the nation. And [More]
By Ken Ham Recently the popular Catholic political blogger Matt Walsh made a fairly lengthy video explaining why he was not a young-earth creationist and why he thinks young-earth creationists are a stumbling block to the faith of many people. The video is filled with strawman fallacies, misunderstandings, and mischaracterizations of what creationists actually believe. After watching the video, I was left wondering if he had even read any of our literature discussing the age of the earth. Walsh’s main points were that the days in Genesis could not be twenty-four hours and that science has proved the earth is [More]

By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, Dr. Winston Ewert continues unpacking his new hypothesis challenging Darwin’s tree of life. Ewert is a software engineer, and his new model is inspired by the coder strategy of repurposing existing code, called modules, for different projects. Moreover, some of these modules depend on other modules, meaning you can generate a dependency graph to better understand the similarities and differences among software programs that share modules. Ewert argues that a dependency graph model better explains the pattern of similarities and differences in the history of life, better than a model [More]

The drought tolerance of a popular grain, sorghum, makes it an important global food crop. A recent study finds that sorghum manipulates soil conditions to promote a beneficial change in the microbes living on its roots when water is scarce.1 The complex systems conferring such tight cooperation between plants and microbes point to a wise Creator for their origin far more reasonably than the mystical scenarios invoking strong &ld… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Ken Ham A news item from close to home (in Cincinnati, just a few miles away from the Creation Museum) caught my eye. Now, I’m used to seeing articles about recent dinosaur finds or analysis of dinosaur fossils in museum collections. But what stood out in this article was that the dinosaur in question was a juvenile sauropod. According to the article, the dinosaur is most likely a Diplodocus, (or a closely-related sauropod), and there are only eight skulls of this dinosaur currently known, and most are from adults. This juvenile skull is approximately 10 inches (24 cm) long, [More]
Secular scientists claim that stars form “naturally” from enormous clouds of gas and dust. The newly-formed star is thought to be encircled by a thin, slowly-spinning disk of dusty material. Dust particles within the disk are thought to collide and stick together, through a hypothetical process called accretion, somehow forming more massive clumps of matter over vast amounts of time. These clumps become the cores of future plane… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, Michael Denton explores a “miraculous convergence of properties” for life. Denton is both a medical doctor and a PhD biochemist, and now the author of the new book Children of Light: The Astonishing Properties of Sunlight That Make Us Possible (ebook available here). He lets his astonishment flow freely in this interview with host Sarah Chaffee, with topics ranging from the light of the sun to key chemicals here on earth. Taken together, it’s “an astonishing coincidence. … Science has discovered the fine-tuning… it’s not in doubt.… I’m blown away [More]
By Ken Ham Last week we held our annual Answers for Pastors and Christian Leaders conference. Hundreds of pastors and their families joined us and packed Legacy Hall at the world-class Creation Museum to get equipped with answers for the skeptical questions of the age. The conference ran from Tuesday through Thursday and featured Dr. John MacArthur along with me and numerous other Answers in Genesis speakers. Dr. MacArthur spoke twice for the conference. On Tuesday, he spoke about the Clarity of Scripture, reminding us that God’s Word means what it says. …read more Source: Ken Ham AIG

But what else is there to do in Kentucky?” Well, today is National Kentucky Day so I thought I would highlight some of the many things to do in Kentucky, in addition to our two world-class Christian themed attractions. Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. We’ve taken our grandkids here a number of times. If you love horses, this is the place to go for everything equine. By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID The Future from the vault, Discovery Institute senior fellows David Berlinski and Michael Denton, both long-time critics of neo-Darwinism, discuss their primary objections to neo-Darwinian theory. For Berlinski, a mathematician and author of The Deniable Darwin, the problem is quantitative and methodological. For Denton, a geneticist and author of the new Discovery Institute Press book Children of Light: The Astonishing Properties of Light that Make Us Possible, the problem is empirical. By Ken Ham At the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter, we have the tremendous opportunity to reach well over a million people a year with the life-changing gospel message. People visit from all over the globe and from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. On Labor Day 2018, a group visited the Creation Museum from a church of the Deaf in Southern California. They toured the museum with a volunteer ASL interpreter. What made this particularly interesting was the group consisted of people who needed the ASL translated into Korean and Japanese sign languages. At one point, they met Tim [More]

By Ken Ham When was the last time you let your pastor and his family know that you appreciate them? As many pastors will tell you, being a pastor is an intense, difficult calling (serving in ministry always is) that requires hard work and sacrifice. Well, today is considered Pastor Appreciation Day in the US—the perfect day to let your pastor know that he is appreciated and loved by you and the rest of the congregation. Here are some ways (in addition to kind words) you can show your appreciation: Write a note. Sit down and write a handwritten note [More]
By Ken Ham Now that we’re into the fall season, Christmas will be here before we know it. And our grounds crew at both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum are already hard at work turning the grounds into a Christmas wonderland of lights. All of this is in preparation to welcome tens of thousands of guests for ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter and ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, November 23–December 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). These two free Christmas events are now a tradition for many families, and the number of visitors keeps growing each year. [More]
By Ken Ham I came across this news item and groaned as I read it. A small wooden sign hanging just above a fire extinguisher in the cafeteria of a Maryland elementary school simply reads: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Sounds rather innocent, doesn’t it? You wouldn’t think that it would generate any controversy. But the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to the school district requesting its removal because they claim the sign violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The elementary school has a student population of over 400, and apparently one parent [More]
By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, guest host Robert J. Marks talks with Dr. Winston Ewert about Ewert’s groundbreaking new hypothesis challenging Darwin’s common descent tree of life. The new model is based on the well-established technique of repurposing software code in different software projects. Ewert, a senior researcher at Biologic and the Evolutionary Informatics Lab, describes the nested hierarchical pattern of life and how any credible theory of life’s origin and diversity must explain it. He then describes how Darwin’s basic theory fits, and doesn’t fit, the pattern, and the various ancillary mechanisms invoked to [More]
