By Ken Ham During Easter week atheists are gathering in Cincinnati, OH—in the backyard of the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter—for their national convention. That same week (April 17–21, 2019) we’re hosting our own conference at the brand-new Answers Center at the Ark Encounter—Answering Atheists, and one of our special guest speakers is well-known evangelist, Ray Comfort (who loves to engage atheists). And we’re encouraging believers and atheists alike, in fact everyone, to attend. We will cover a large range of topics: biblical, scientific, philosophical, etc. This five-day conference (culminating in a sunrise service Easter morning) will answer …read more [More]
By Sarah Chaffee This episode of ID the Future features a conversation between physicist Brian Miller and biologist Ray Bohlin and about their recent speaking tour in South Africa, where they made a case for intelligent design. The pair talk about the open reception they received from sympathizers and skeptics alike. South Africa, they say, is less infused with materialistic philosophy than is Europe or America’s research universities. This means an open door for ID. However, it’s a door that threatens to close, they warn. Listen in to learn more. Your browser does not support playing Audio, please upgrade your [More]

By Ken Ham A minister in the United Church, a theologically liberal denomination in Canada, has reached a settlement with the denomination that allows her to continue pastoring despite her professed atheism. The reason? A desire by the denomination to “dance” between their core values of faith and inclusiveness. The leader of that denomination said of the church’s core values of “faith in God and inclusiveness”: The dance between these core values, how they interact with and inform each other, is one that we continue to explore as followers of Jesus and children of the creator… As a Christian church, [More]
A scientific study aligns with the biblical account of the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah being destroyed by fire and brimstone from the heavens. The book of Genesis tells the story of God sending two angels to save Lot and his family from a city where men demanded to “be intimate” with visiting men, one of the clearest biblical condemnations of homosexuality. In response, God “rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah sulfurous fire … out of heaven.”   It would be hundreds of years before life returned to the region.   And now scientists have found evidence of a cataclysmic event in that area, [More]

By Ken Ham Since the Ark Encounter opened in July 2016, we’ve been expanding, hiring new staff, and even refurbishing some areas to accommodate the massive numbers of people we’ve been seeing on a daily basis. But apparently we’ve been doing all of this for imaginary people because, according to a reporter—who (to our knowledge) didn’t reach out to anyone from Answers in Genesis, any local businesses, or tourist bureaus, but instead relied on “data” from an anti-Ark activist—very few people are coming! The reporter claims we’re struggling with attendance (we’re not!; we see thousands daily). In response to this [More]

By Ken Ham Editors Note: Walsh has since responded to this post. We will be responding to his video on Answers News November 19, 2018, starting at 2 p.m. on my facebook page and the AiG YouTube channel. We hope you are able to join us. Recently the popular Catholic political blogger Matt Walsh made a fairly lengthy video explaining why he was not a young-earth creationist and why he thinks young-earth creationists are a stumbling block to the faith of many people. The video is filled with strawman fallacies, misunderstandings, and mischaracterizations of what creationists actually believe. After watching [More]

In 1994, Bolivian workers quarrying high-grade limestone for cement reached a layer with too much quartz, a hard mineral, so they left it alone.1 As quarrying continued, more and more of the unwanted layer was exposed, forming a huge cliff and revealing hundreds of dinosaur trackways. The tracks are of at least eight different kinds of dinosaurs, including a pair of titanosaurs and a herd of 16 ankylosaurs. The layer also contains the longest dinosaur trackway in the world, over 500 m (1,640 ft), by a small theropod,1 possibly a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex.2   Read More: The Cal Orcko (‘Lime [More]

My parents took me to church and Sunday school, but we rarely talked about God. I loved to read, but the science books contradicted the Bible. I read of a universe that was billions of years old and of dinosaurs that supposedly lived many millions of years ago. I read of human descent from apes. The geology books denied Noah’s Flood. Without evidence, I concluded the Bible could not be true, and I drifted from God.   I double-majored in math and physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), studied theoretical math for three years, and got a law [More]

By Sarah Chaffee This episode of ID the Future features the second half of philosopher of science Stephen Meyer’s recent appearance on the Dennis Prager Show. Meyer and Prager discuss some of the critics of intelligent design who tie themselves in knots: Theistic evolutionists who claim life arose through a completely undirected process directed by God, and materialists who insist on a universe from “nothing,” but where “nothing” means something. By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, Dean Abbott hosts Discovery Institute Senior Fellow Wesley J. Smith in a conversation about human cloning, human exceptionalism, and human rights. Smith explains some of the reasons behind the drive toward human cloning, and places the error of that thinking in historic context of some of the worst ethical mistakes humans have made down through history.
