By Ken Ham A poll by Caddell Associates was summarized by the Washington Examiner this way: “When asked which was more important, by a 4 to 1 ratio, voters said protecting religious liberty (31 percent) over protecting gay and lesbian rights (8 percent),” said Caddell, who added that most of the rest said both are important. The potential for a war is great, since a top Obama official suggested during the recent same sex marriage case that the administration could force groups opposed to gay weddings on religious ground to buckle under. There have been several standoffs and legal cases

By Ken Ham So after arriving home from Australia, and now in a jet-lagged state, what was the first thing my wife and I did? Go to the life-size Ark construction site at Williamstown, Kentucky, of course, to receive an update from the construction superintendent. It’s amazing to see the progress. We were able to climb up to deck 4—the roof deck. From there you can clearly see the 4,000-space parking area (about 1 mile away by the shuttle road). Two of the three towers (that contain stairs, elevators, and restrooms—and anchor the Ark …read more Read more here: Ken

By Ken Ham I am looking forward to travelling to the UK this September for the UK Mega Conference, Answering the Sceptics. At last year’s conference we were thrilled to see over 1,300 people register! Sadly, in the UK many of even the most theologically conservative churches and Christian leaders have compromised on the issue of millions of years and evolution. These apologetics conferences that encourage and equip Christians to stand solidly on the authority of God’s Word without compromise from the very first verse are desperately needed. Well, this conference coming to Belfast, Northern Ireland, September 3–5 is packed

By Ken Ham In a day and age when the culture by and large has turned away from God’s Word and openly ridicules those who choose to stand firmly on God’s Word, it’s hard to raise our children to love the Lord and honor, obey, and trust His Word. But it’s so important that we teach the next generation to stand on the authority of God’s Word from the very beginning, and to think biblically. That’s why we provide you with powerful resources that will help you as a parent to accomplish the task of training up your child in

By Multimedia In this episode of ID The Future, Andrew McDiarmid catches up with Dr. Stephen Meyer to clarify two important points raised during his recent discussion with Alex Berezow of Real Clear Science on the Michael Medved Show. Berezow uses developmental hox genes and the research of Richard Lenski as examples of the creative power of the mutation/selection Darwinian mechanism. Here, Meyer points out that although hox genes can produce changes in an organism during development, the changes are usually deleterious and are expressed after body plan formation has already been established. Meyer also clarifies the results of Richard

By Ken Ham Over the last few months there has been increasing controversy regarding the Boy Scouts of America’s (BSA) ban on gay leaders. The BSA already ended the ban on openly gay scouts, and it wasn’t long before the discussion turned toward gay leaders. Well, on Monday, July 27, the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America ratified a resolution that permits openly gay adult leaders and employees. The resolution was passed by a 79% vote. This is just another example of the further erosion of standards based on biblical authority and morality. Now, the BSA holds

By Ken Ham Around two-thirds of our young people in America are leaving the church when they go to college—with very few returning. But, as my coauthored book Already Gone detailed, most of these young people aren’t choosing to leave because their faith was attacked in college—they are “already gone” in middle school and high school! These young people are not being taught in their home or church to defend their faith against the attacks of secularists. And that is a major reason why so many of them are doubting the trustworthiness and accuracy of God’s Word. Rather than being

By Ken Ham While still in Australia, Mally and I visited some places that have a special place in our lives. The house Mally grew up in. This building used to house the church (it is now a theater—the church built a bigger building to move to) where we first met. After our family moved to Brisbane in January 1971, we walked into this church for the first time, and in the small section at the front, Mally was handing out hymn books. We both say it was love at first sight! The house …read more Read more here: Ken

These photos will give you a good idea of how the construction is rapidly moving ahead. The life-size Ark will be opened sometime next year. Professional research indicates upward of 2 million a people a year will visit this Christian attraction. Keep up to date at ArkEncounter.com.
