This weekend we celebrate Good Friday, a day set aside to remember the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior. Jesus willingly chose to come to earth to be a human (the God-man), and to die on the Cross to pay the penalty of death that we deserve for our sin. Because of His sacrifice, “it is finished” (John 19:30)—the debt has been paid, and we can have forgiveness and new life.
