06/08/18 Watchdog groups say the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities in China is at its most intense since the Cultural Revolution, as churches are shuttered, Bibles confiscated and believers arrested at rates not seen in decades. Evidence of the crackdown was in plain view this week, when police raided Early Rain Covenant Church, an underground parish in the southwestern Sichuan province, to preempt a memorial service commemorating the 29th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre of anti-government protesters. According to ChinaAid, an advocacy group that documents human rights abuses in the communist nation, 17 people

06/07/18 The Southern Baptist Convention, America’s largest protestant denomination and a historically conservative wing of the Christian church in the United States, is on the verge of falling to organized “progressive” social-justice forces and anti-Trump activists, according to media reports and insiders involved in the battle. One leading opponent of the scheme has even blasted what he described as the “Evangelical Deep State” working to infect the church with unbiblical ideologies. The goals of these forces, dubbed “neo-Marxist” by some critics, include softening and eventually quashing Christian opposition to homosexuality, normalizing gender confusion in the church, promoting left-wing

A petition before the U.S. Supreme Court carries big implications for the First Amendment. Thomas More Law Center is asking the court to prevent what it calls Maine’s persecution of a pro-life pastor who is also a pro-life activist. “Pastor Andrew March preaches peacefully on the public sidewalk outside the Planned Parenthood in Portland, Maine, which is a very unfriendly place for pro-lifers,” says TMLC attorney Kate Oliveri. The pastor “calmly” talks to women, without yelling or using a megaphone, the attorney insists, but Portland officials are prosecuting him and others under a noise provision in the

Christians remained the largest religious group in the world in 2015, making up nearly a third (31%) of Earth’s 7.3 billion people, according to a new Pew Research Center demographic analysis. But the report also shows that the number of Christians in what many consider the religion’s heartland, the continent of Europe, is in decline. Between 2010 and 2015, an estimated 223 million babies were born to Christian mothers and roughly 107 million Christians died – a natural increase of 116

There is an “unprecedented” crackdown on churches in Cuba according to a new report by Christian Solidarity Worldwide. The figures compiled by CSW show there was a tenfold increase in the number of religious freedom violations in Cuba in 2015 with 2,300 separate violations recorded compared to only 220 in 2014. CSW reports the spike is largely due to government hostility against churches, with 2,000 Assemblies of God churches declared illegal and 100 shut down or demolished. The government also took over the properties of several other denominations. Read More: Cuban Churches Face ‘Unprecedented’ Crackdown | CBN.com (beta)

“It’s sad that they allowed themselves to be intimidated by handful of leftist loons, they should have not allowed that to happen, it just emboldens these leftist crackpots when they get someone to cave in.” Admin Many public schools across the nation have regularly invited speakers from Planned Parenthood to inform high school and middle school students about under-age and premarital “safe sex” and how to use various forms of contraception, but when one abstinence speaker was scheduled to inform students in southeastern Pennsylvania about the rewards of saving sex until marriage and the dangers of casual sex, her speech

“The way things are going this hostility toward Christians will only continue to grow as the ungodly become more shrill in their objections when things don’t go their way. These poor lost souls have no fear of God and are blissfully ignorant of the fact Hell is waiting to swallow them up … sad.” Admin Hostility toward Christians and Christian teachings is growing since the recent U.S. Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision, with lawmakers even moving forward with efforts to overturn the protections afforded to religious-owned businesses through legislation. As previously reported, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 30
