Apologetics Press Come explore the Cosmos. From the largest galaxy to the smallest cell, all scales of our Universe exhibit functional order and complexity. Throughout history humanity has seen and appreciated the order around us, but with the advent of modern technology the function and complexity is even more apparent. When we consider the presence of law and matter, function and complexity, the evidence leads to a powerful and intelligent Creator.

Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship Jan. 19, 2020 “You may have to turn up the volume to better hear what he is saying.” Admin This image-rich program will share some of the major discoveries at the Saturn system, including the planet itself, its rings, moons, magnetic field, and the giant moon Titan. The Cassini mission tour (2004-2017) was the most ambitious and well-equipped outer-planet mission to date, sending to Earth a wealth of data and images, some of which is of interest to Biblical creationists concerning the age of the solar system. The speaker will also briefly discuss his persecution over [More]
Solar eclipses are astonishing sights. These astronomical events—and even the sun itself—reveal a lot about creation and our Creator. When will the next solar eclipse occur? And how can we view it safely?   Listen: Solar Eclipse and the Created Sun | The Institute for Creation Research
Secular cosmologists claim that the universe originated in an explosion 13.8 billion years ago. Some Christians believe this Big Bang is the means God used to create the universe. Is there evidence to support this? How should laypeople respond to the 3 main arguments for the Big Bang? Why should Christians reject the Big Bang?   Listen: The Big Bang Is Broken | The Institute for Creation Research
According to the Big Bang origins model, our universe is said to be 13.8 billion years old. But a straightforward reading of the Bible—including historical information and the testimony of the Lord Jesus—confirms a young universe closer to 6,000 years old. How can Christians answer Big Bang claims? Dr. Hebert provides scientific and biblical reasons for a young universe.   Listen: Our Young Universe | The Institute for Creation Research
Saturn is too hot for its evolutionary age. It should’ve cooled off if it were 4.5 billion years old. What can we learn about the age of the universe from our solar system? How can biblical creationists confidently assert a young age for celestial objects like blue stars?   Listen: The Institute for Creation Research
Data from the 2015 flyby of Pluto confirmed biblical creationist predictions and posed serious challenges for the ‘millions of years’, evolutionary story.
The solar system is wonderfully designed for life—and for fascinating science, too! Both benefits reveal the richness of the Lord’s creativity. Discovering the truth the Lord has hidden for us to search out and find is the fun and thrill of science. What examples have we discovered in our own solar system?   Listen: The Institute for Creation Research
Join Origins host Donn Chapman as he welcomes scientist and astronomer, Dr. Danny Faulkner for, “What’s New on Pluto?” On January 19, 2006 the New Horizons spacecraft was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Nine and a-half years later it flew nearby Pluto and provided stunning photos. Scientists that say the universe is billions of years old expected Pluto to be covered with impact craters, but it isn’t. Our guest today describes what all this new information reveals about Pluto.
Join Origins host Donn Chapman as he welcomes astronomer and astrophysicist, Dr. Jason Lisle for, Distant Starlight in a Young Universe. Here on Earth we see light from galaxies billions of light years away. Based on this it seems that Creation would be billions of years old. However, Dr. Lisle presents a compelling argument to the contrary. Taking into account the speed of light and the passage of time in outer space the evidence may surprise you.
Join Origins host Donn Chapman as he welcomes astronomer and astrophysicist, Dr. Jason Lisle for, The Sun. The universe is full of stars, but the sun is easily the most important to life on Earth. Did you know that it generates more energy in one second than a billion cities could use in a year? When we look closely at the Sun, we find that it supports the Biblical Worldview of Creation.
An interview of Dr. Jason Lisle on problems with the Big Bang theory.
Data obtained by an instrument aboard the Cassini space probe have convinced planetary scientists that Saturn’s rings can be no more than a few hundred million years old.1 These new data confirmed some researchers’ previous suspicions. For instance, a previous ICR news article described how numerous planetary features within our solar system—including Saturn’s brilliant rings—look “young,” even to secular scientists.2   One of these features is the cleanness of Saturn’s rings. Secular scientists claim that the solar system is around 4.5 billion years old, so if Saturn’s rings were indeed that old, then they should have experienced billions of years’ [More]
Multimedia Presentation by Apologetics Symposium Cedar Park Church, Bothell WA November 1st, 2017 We see stars and galaxies that are so far away, it seems that their light would need a long time to get here—in some cases, up to billions of years. Doesn’t this disprove the book of Genesis, which says that the heavens and Earth were created merely thousands of years ago? No, it doesn’t. In this talk, Spike Psarris will discuss the ”LTT” (light travel time) issue, showing how this seemingly straightforward question relies on multiple assumptions being true—and at least some of them are false. Furthermore, [More]
Seminar by Chris Ashcraft Cedar Park Church, Bothell WA January 11, 2017 Secular astronomers believe that space and time began through a great cosmic explosion, and yet the Bible says God spoke the universe into existence. While some Christians try to reconcile these two views, the creation account contains a strikingly dissimilar sequence of events. This presentation will analyze the big bang theory, and the supporting evidence including the redshift of light, cosmic background radiation, as well as homogeneity. Alternative interpretations are presented, which argue that the Earth occupies a special place in the universe after all. __________________________________________________________________ This seminar was recorded during our Apologetics program at Cedar Park Church [More]
School Presentation by Dr. Don DeYoung Cedar Park Christian School, Mountlake Terrace WA October 14, 2016 Astronomy provides students with an opportunity to see parts of God’s creation only now visible due to technological advacements. This presentation will provide an introduction to creation astronomy and includes current events, such as the new Pluto research, life in space, moon recession and the 2017 solar eclipse. About the Speaker: Donald DeYoung is an avid creation scientist and educator specializing in astronomy and physics. He chairs the Department of Science and Mathematics at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Don has taught at [More]
Seminar by Chris Ashcraft Apologetics Symposium Cedar Park Church, Bothell WA July 13, 2016 Our solar system is thought to have formed from condensations within a swirling cloud of gas and dust (nebula theory). But when the planets were better analyzed by space probes many surprising discoveries were made that conflict with the prevailing theory. This presentation is a tour of the solar system, wherein we will stop at each planet to discuss their unique qualities along with those of their moons. As each new discovery is made, the design and handiwork of a Creator is revealed. Truly, the Earth [More]
Seminar by Spike Psarris Apologetics Symposium Cedar Park Church, Bothell WA May 4, 2016 What is the origin of the cosmos? Creationists believe the Universe is the handiwork of our Creator God. Conversely, atheists claim the Universe made itself in a Big Bang event, roughly 14 billion years ago. In this upcoming talk, former atheist Spike Psarris will discuss some of the evidence against the atheistic position. He then will go further and show that an atheistic approach to cosmology is self-contradictory. Astronomy and cosmology are based on physics, which in turn is based on certain assumptions about how the [More]
This class stemmed from the enormous volume of creation science material such as, books, magazine articles, and videos. At this point, there is so much evidence in support of 6 day literal creation most Christians don’t know where to start. This class provides Christians with a basic understanding of many of the main evidences. We have included what we feel are the most important creation science evidences. The goals of this class are as follows… 1. Develop a consistent Christian world view 2. Gain confidence in the bible as scientifically and historically defensible 3. Equip Christians with information to defend [More]
Astronomers have discovered what appears to be the largest feature in the observable universe, and—according to the Big Bang model—it shouldn’t even exist. A team of Hungarian and U.S. astronomers say they have discovered a huge ring of nine gamma ray bursts (GRBs) that is five billion light years across. The scientists detailed their findings in “Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.” GRBs are thought to be the result of massive stars collapsing into black holes. Because black holes are typically found inside galaxies, astronomers say the ring of GRBs is evidence of a gigantic galaxy ring. All nine [More]
“The heavens declare the glory of God.” Admin Original image was taken in 1995 showing three giant columns of cold gas bathed in the scorching ultraviolet light from a cluster of young, massive stars in a small region of the Eagle Nebula, or M16 The new Hubble photo is sharper than the original, and also has a wider field of view Astronomers also asked the telescope to shoot the same region in both visible and infrared light. It is the most iconic image ever taken by Nasa’s Hubble Space Telescope. Taken in 1995, is revealed never-before-seen details of three giant [More]

Nearly two years after the highly-publicized discovery of the elusive ‘God Particle,’ scientists have determined that the current Big Bang model cannot account for the existence of the universe. As previously reported, scientists in Europe announced in 2012 that they had detected the Higgs boson, then confirmed their findings last year. The Higgs boson, also known as “the God particle,” was widely heralded as a key to understanding the origins of the universe. However, in a major setback to the secular Big Bang theory, scientists with King’s College in London announced this month that Higgs boson physics cannot account for [More]
