When a woman of God awakes each morning, heaven, earth and hell should take notice! She is a vital contributor to her community and a gatekeeper of her home. Her friends, coworkers and family feel secure in her presence; her church relies on her faithful service. Who is this supernatural woman? Not superwoman, supernatural woman! She understands the source of her strength. She humbly acknowledges her dependence on God and accepts the help of the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 31:30 tells us, “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (niv). What sets a woman of God apart is her fear of God. Her respect and reverence determine her actions, thoughts, priorities and words. When we do not understand our place in today’s society, as a woman of God, we will be overwhelmed by its demands.

When a woman pursues her purpose from the Word of God, she will do remarkable things! Many women base their decisions on earning acceptance and trying to please others. When our priorities are rooted in anything but the Word of God, we will be frustrated, weary and discouraged.
