Sea salt found to be contaminated with microplastics, one brand tested clean

Microplastics, tiny fragments of petrochemicals less than 5 millimeters long, originate from packaging materials, detergents, cosmetic and clothing – and are now showing up in seawater, freshwater lakes, aquatic life and even humans.
