Fast on the heels of the U.S. approval of COVID-19 shots for 5- to 11-year-olds, San Francisco announced that, like their older counterparts, the younger children will soon need a vaccine passport to enter establishments such as restaurants and grocery stores.
Shortly after city officials announced the new rules, Twitter lit up with complaints. “This is the most draconian vaccine passport anywhere in the United States or Europe,” one person tweeted. “If you don’t feel safe sitting in a coffee shop unless the 5-year-old across the room is vaccinated, you should stay home.”
