An ailing Connecticut girl kept in East Coast hospitals for 16 months will have a lengthy recovery at home if she is released.

Justina Pelletier was being successfully treated for a medical problem when a rookie psychologist diagnosed her problem as mental. Medication was removed, she worsened, and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families obtained court-ordered custody when the teen’s parents tried to have medication restored.

Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel intervened weeks ago and recently filed a fresh motion with the juvenile court handling the case, asking for the immediate return of the teenager to her family.
