“Not surprising this is originating in California one of the main states on the cutting edge of moral decay. We’ll see more things like this as the world goes deeper into spiritual darkness.”  Admin

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) became a pioneer in the culture of death last week when it began offering a free online course teaching students about the ins and outs of abortion – from procedures to advocacy.

The six-week course was made available on October 13 and is the first of its kind. Based in the public health framework, the Internet class covers patient-centered abortion care from the first trimester and then visits the obstacles abortionists face when trying to administer “safe” abortions. It also provides insight on what challenges the abortion industry faces when trying to increase access to abortions globally.

Some 3,000 students have already registered to take UCSF’s class titled “Abortion: Quality Care and Public Health Implications.”

Course objectives

The course was designed by UCSF Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences Professor Jody Steinauer in order to make it easier for students to familiarize themselves with the practice and issue of abortion. Through the class she is reportedly committed to change the way students think about abortion and propagate its implementation worldwide.

Steinauer appeals to a 2005 study by the Guttmacher Institute, divulging that just 30 percent of medical schools provide courses that instruct students on the procedures used in abortion. She holds this up to the Institute’s statistic that 40 percent of women in America have received an abortion by the age of 45. A 2009 survey corroborated that 33 percent of American medical schools don’t offer pre-clinical courses instructing on abortion.

“Despite its universality, abortion remains controversial and inaccessible for many women,” Steinauer stated, implying that the unpopularity of abortion in many cases is due to a lack of education on the practice.

However, American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians and Gynecologists executive director Donna Harrison contends that a good proportion of doctors refuse to perform abortions because they are morally opposed to the procedure – not because they haven’t received instruction on how to administer them.

“Any OBGYN knows how to empty a uterus at any stage,” Harrison asserts. “It’s just that most OBGYNs recognize that there are two patients [mother and child].”

Propaganda through the schools?
