`                                                  Summer 2014 Update for Kent Hovind

1.  Moved again!  After 19 months in frozen Berlin, NH I was moved to Montgomery, AL 160 miles from home!  This is my 14th move and my 6th camp.  The difference is like night and day!  I have a REAL mattress (7″ x 47″!!!) on springs and a pillow!  I’ve been sleeping on a 2″ foam pad 2″x 27″ (that compressed to 1/2″ when you laid on it) on a steel plate for 7.6 years!  Try that for a while.  When you are 61! 🙂

2. Witnessing opportunities here are great!  I’ve already witnessed to dozens of the men.  The camp has about 900 men.  I started making my bookmarkers and paper airplanes for a few guys and it spread like wildfire!  My 2nd day I made nearly 300!  Each one doubles as a gospel tract so pray God uses them to reach many for His kingdom please.  You should try it!

3. The camp is right on the river in the midst of the air force base.  It is beautiful and even the staff (so far) have been friendly!  If I don’t win any of the issues currently filed in several courts I go home Feb. 1, 2015 at the latest.  Till then-my new address is: Kent Hovind 06452-017 FPC Maxwell AFB Montgomery, AL 36112.  In a few days I’ll be asking for 6 months half-way house as well like the 2nd chance act calls for.  That would put me in P-cola this August!  Tell the atheists who have been so-o-o-o-o brave to criticize me while I was down and out to schedule a time for a debate in front of the university of their choice.  I’ll take on 10 at a time with 1/2 my brain tied behind my back but I get 1/2 the time and we discuss only one topic at a time. See how brave they are now. 🙂

4. BTW-Someone is putting my March email “debate” with self proclaimed “atheist” “PZ” Myers into booklet form. That should stir them up!  Read the entire exchange on 2peter3.com.

5. My son Eric and the family continue the creation ministry and are doing a great job.  Eric’s web site is creationtoday.org.

6. Updates on my legal situation as well as my numerous blogs on a wide range of topics are kept updated on 2peter3.com.  For those who wonder why I continue to “maintain my integrity” and continue this legal battle, see I Tim. 1:8 and Pro. 18:13 🙂  When the apostle Paul was falsely accused and arrested he appealed all the way to Rome and spent a lot of time telling of his trials, travels and injustices.  Read Acts. 🙂  LOTS of other Bible characters also proclaimed their innocence. 🙂 See Joseph (Gen. 40:15), Job (13:15; 23:10; 27:5) and Jesus (Lk. 23:14, 22; Jn. 18:38; 19:4, 6) for starters. 🙂

8. God supplied the most amazing legal helpers to assist me in this complex legal system!  You can read about all the various issues I have currently on appeal on 2peter3.com.  As the various cases grind SLOWLY though the courts we will keep updates posted there.  It is still very likely that the entire case will be overturned and damage$ paid.

9. Once I win and get the whole mess straightened out…I feel it may be time to fulfill my life’s dream of getting a large tract of land in the country and building a HUGE Dinosaur Adventure Land/ Creation Conference Center/ Creation Campground (I’m an Eagle Scout :)/ and Creation Museum.  We are landlocked in Pensacola.  🙁  Please pray God will guide me to the right spot.  I have long prayed for 700-1000 acres with a cave or river. (or both!) 🙂  If you know of one please send details.

10. My 260 page full color book “What on Earth is About to Happen…for Heaven’s Sake?” is on 2peter3.com and is blessing many.  It is the result of a lifetime of study on the end times subject.  After floundering in the wilderness for nearly 40 years by following the “Pre-tribulation” rapture teaching that is so vocally expressed by the Left Behind series and hundreds of other prophecy books, I was forced by the evidence to go back to the historic position the church held to since the time of Christ.  We WILL be here for the tribulation and will be raptured out at the Day of Christ AFTER the tribulation (Mt. 24:29; Mk. 13:24) and BEFORE the time of God’s WRATH which falls IN the Day of the Lord.

11. I feel embarrassed that I did not “rightly divide the Word of truth” and see the vast difference between “tribulation” (which is what the world does to us and Jesus promised we WOULD have-Jn 16:33) and wrath (which is what God does to the world and God promised we would NOT have – I Thes. 1:10; 5:9).  I also did NOT carefully distinguish between the “Day of Christ” (which is mentioned 7 times and refers to the rapture) and the “Day of the Lord” (which is mentioned 100’s of times and refers to the 1000 yr reign).  Once again I see the importance of using the right Bible (KJB) because ALL the new “versions” change “day of Christ” to “day of the Lord” in II Thes. 2:1-3 just to protect the pre-trib rapture theory.  MAJOR mistake!  The rapture CANNOT come until there is a falling away and the anti-Christ is revealed in the midst of the 70th week of Daniel 9.  Oh well, details in the book! 🙂

12. I welcome any comments on the book.  It is available in paper or as an eBook and has loads of my typical charts and 4th grade level explanations and illustrations.  Peter said the scoffers in the last days would be willingly ignorant of: the creation, the flood and the coming judgment. (II Peter 3).  I traveled and preached for 17 years on the creation and flood topic and about 3 million of my DVDs in 40+ languages still circle the globe to help folks understand those topics.  Now, after the Lord graciously gave me this extended vacation to get my eschatology (end times) straight I’m ready and eager to add a series of DVDs on the 3rd one.  It is time to call Christians to focus on the important things!  It won’t matter who threw the ball through the hoop in 10,000 yrs so stop getting distracted.  As one song writer correctly noted: “When the house is burning to the ground, it’s not the time to stand around arranging all the pictures on the wall.” 🙂  See appendix #7 of my book for ideas on what to do to prepare.

13. I have written 34 other books and booklets from prison.  If you have art or computer skills and would like to help get them in eBook or printable form please let me know.  The stories I have written for my 5 grandkids were a great blessing to me to write and those who read them have been greatly encouraged and blessed as well.

15. If there was ever a time in world history when we need to win souls and witness for the Lord-THIS is it!  God is not willing that ANY should perish (2 Peter 3) and He will greatly reward those who spread the gospel.  I’m going for the Daniel 12:3 prize!  You can too. 🙂
