Disney has been in a protracted conflict with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after they attempted to insert themselves in the debate surrounding DeSantis’s Parental Rights in Education bill, what opponents dubbed the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.

As a result, DeSantis threatened to pull Disney’s charter for its Reedy Creek Improvement District, which granted it self governance over the territory surrounding its parks.

Disney attempted a legal maneuver to retain control over the land surrounding its parks that invoked a centuries-old decree from King Charles, briefly preventing DeSantis from pulling the charter.

On Monday, DeSantis said that the legal maneuver wasn’t ‘worth the paper it was written on’ and the legislature will still move forward with pulling Disney’s charter.

Rather than reevaluating its woke politics, Disney doubled down this week and unveiled a ‘Pride Nite’ at its park that will be available to people of all ages, including young children.
