OSU researchers discover the unicorn – seaweed that tastes like bacon!

OSU researchers have been working on a strain of dulse seaweed for 15 years that looks like a translucent red lettuce. Sort of bacon-y all in its own right. But when cooked the protein does taste like bacon.

It’s worth noting that we have little details on how exactly the novel strain was grown or how it can get its own patent.
