Why should children obey their parents? That’s a reasonable question. The only way children will ever know—and embrace—the answer is if you teach it to them. Read more here: AIG Daily
By Ken Ham A couple visiting the Creation Museum this past week had a very interesting story to tell us. Jeff is from Sevierville, Tennessee (where we will be holding our national family conference in July, by the way). Ellie is from Tokyo, Japan. They have been doing a Bible study via Skype and then began corresponding. They decided to meet in person, so she came to the U.S. a week ago. The place she wanted most to visit in America was the Creation Museum—so they decided to meet here! Here is photo of the couple taken at the Foto FX booth at [More]

By Ken Ham Leading atheists never seem to tire of making outrageous and offensive claims. Professor Richard Dawkins of England makes his contempt for Christianity—and every other religion (except for his own religion of atheism)—no secret. Not long ago, Dawkins made an incredibly controversial statement in an interview, claiming that teaching children about hell is worse than child sexual abuse. He tells the interviewer, “It seems to me that telling children such that they really, really believe that people who sin are going to go to hell and roast forever . . . It seems to me to be intuitively [More]

A video recorded by a missionary to China captures the emotion exuded by a group of Chinese Christians who obtained a copy of the Bible for the first time in their life. The video, uploaded by a YouTube user named “alberttiago1,” shows a gathering of Chinese citizens opening a suitcase containing what appears to be dozens of copies of the Bible. When the suitcase is opened, “oohs” and squeals fill the air, and the Christians rush forward with much excitement to grab a copy. (from site admin: please forward this article on to others. It’s time to stand for what we believe). Christian education is under attack in America as never before. Yesterday on this website, we highlighted the plight of the Romeikes, a German Christian family who is seeking asylum in America because the German government forbids their homeschool instruction. The Obama Administration is siding with the German government and its view of homeschooling, and they are seeking to deport this family who wants to educate their children in accord with God’s Word. If the U.S. Attorney General succeeds in denying their asylum, [More]

By Ken Ham Pastor Chuck Smith, the founder of the Calvary Chapel network of international churches, spoke to the staff at Answers in Genesis and toured the Creation Museum on Tuesday. “Pastor Chuck” (as he is known) started his ministry in the 1960s in southern California. Today in America, there are now over 1,000 Calvary Chapels as well as Christian schools and Bible colleges linked to the Calvary Chapel movement. There are also dozens of congregations in the UK (I have spoken at the London church a couple of times), plus Calvary Chapels in other nations. It’s not a denomination [More]

By Ken Ham Recently, a South Carolina Christian school has come under attack for having biblical creation in its curriculum. The controversy was the result of a parent from the school showing a friend a copy of his daughter’s dinosaur quiz, and that friend took a photo of it and posted it on the Internet. The questions on the quiz were based on an Answers in Genesis DVD that was shown at the school. Today’s lead article on the Answers in Genesis website covers this issue in more detail—I have provided a link to it below. But before reading the [More]

By Ken Ham Well, the Garden of Eden must have been a beautiful place—that is, before sin changed everything! And of course the Flood of Noah’s day totally destroyed the pre-Flood world, including the Garden of Eden. We can’t visit the Garden of Eden today, but you can visit the spectacular gardens at the Creation Museum instead and, despite a fallen world, get a sense of the beauty of God’s creation. For many fans of the Creation Museum, the next four weeks are the best time of the year to visit. Not only do they avoid the possibility of some [More]

What is the difference between figure 1 and figure 2? Both are patterns of light and dark. Both are arrangements of the same 12 particular shapes in the same groupings. Both exhibit a complexity of arrangement. The probability of either arrangement arising by chance is similar. Neither arrangement has been produced by any action of the properties of the material they appear on. But there is a world of difference between the two, and that difference is equivalent to the difference between the imagined ‘primordial soup’1 of non-living chemicals, and a living cell. This is because a living cell is [More]

By Ken Ham Earlier this month, I wrote a blog post about a Christian family—originally from Germany—that had been attempting to home educate their children in their homeland. The family had asked for asylum in America because of the persecution they were facing in Germany (which included fines and possible imprisonment). A judge in Tennessee granted them asylum, but the Obama Administration has challenged the asylum ruling. In Romeike v. Holder, oral arguments were heard in a U.S. Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Tuesday about the Romeike family’s asylum request. While in the area, the Romeikes, including their six [More]
The standard secular timeline, from an alleged ‘big bang’ some 15 billion years ago to now, is accepted by most people in the evangelical Christian world, even though many would deny evolution. Some would even say that to dispute billions of years is to place an unnecessary stumbling block in the way of any scientifically-minded potential converts. This is in contrast to the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator made flesh,1 as well as several of the biblical authors,2 which makes it plain that this is wrong—people were there from the beginning of creation. But in the evolutionary timeline, [More]
