“This is typical of leftists and secularists, vicious and intolerant of anything but their own godless, heathenistic views” Admin A secular organization is pressuring Scotland’s Parliament to ban the teaching of biblical creation in all public schools, claiming that evolution is the only ‘established science’ that explains the history of life. The Scottish Secular Society (SSS) is an organization in Scotland that seeks “to support and further the cause of secularism.” The society was founded by secularist and homosexual activist Garry Otton, who says he has a deep hatred for religion. By Ken Ham Construction on a new Bible museum in Washington, DC, has begun and will attempt to show the “impact, history, and narrative” of the Bible. This museum, founded by the president of Hobby Lobby, Steve Green, is expected to open in 2017 and will rival the Smithsonian in size. We actually have a Bible exhibit from Steve Green’s collection here at the Creation Museum. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is urging Steve Green well in advance of the museum’s opening to serve what they call “Eden food”—a vegan diet—at the museum. They claim …read more [More]

How does it make you feel when you put forth just as much effort as the next guy, but he receives twice the reward? Unfair! But how did people acquire the sensibilities involved when assessing fairness? Certain animals recognize unequal rewards too, prompting researchers to try and unravel the origins of fairness. By Ken Ham Christmas is just around the corner, and here at the Creation Museum we are busy preparing for our annual Christmas Town. And this year it’s even more exciting as we add new events, more lights, and, of course, the return of a live Nativity. This year, attendees will get to enjoy a special musical program by Buddy Davis and me, and I will also be giving a Christmas talk. I thought I would share with you the press release* about this exciting—and largely free—Christmas event. The highly popular Christmas festivities at the Creation Museum—called Christmas Town—are returning [More]
By Ken Ham An argument used in some recent blogs and social media posts is the idea that teaching young-earth creation leads to atheism! In a recent blog post, James McGrath, associate professor of religion and philosophy at Butler University (and well known for his opposition to Answers in Genesis), associates biblical creation with idolatry and says that we are leading people toward atheism. He claims, “The irony is that not only the wall young-earth creationists build, but the system of thought that they are protecting, is entirely a human construction—exactly the sort of thing that they tell people is [More]

Astronomers recently detected evidence of possible comets orbiting a faraway star system named ? Pictoris. They compared what they saw to what our solar system may have looked like billions of years ago when the earth and moon were supposedly forming out of a chaotic debris cloud. But details from their report easily refute this imagined “planetary-system formation,” and instead illustrate how God recently and uniquely created space objects. By Ken Ham When Christians publicly take a stand on moral issues, such as homosexual behavior and gay marriage, they are often accused of being judgmental. Well, the famous country singer Dolly Parton used this argument recently in an interview with Billboard. She was asked, “Dollywood attracts lots of church groups, but it has also become a draw for the LGBT community. What does that say about you?” In reply she stated, “It’s a place for entertainment, a place for all families, period. It’s for all that. But as far as the Christians, if people want to pass judgment, they’re [More]

If you’re dismayed that one in five Americans (20 percent) are “nones” — people who claim no particular religious identity — brace yourself. How does 38 percent sound? That’s what religion researcher David Kinnaman calculates when he adds “the unchurched, the never-churched and the skeptics” to the nones. He calls his new category “churchless,” the same title Kinnaman has given his new book. By his count, roughly four in 10 people living in the continental United States are actually “post-Christian” and “essentially secular in belief and practice.” If asked, the “churchless” would likely check the “Christian” box on a survey, [More]

“Once again great commentary by Pastor Chuck on what is becoming an ever increasing problem. Very few pastors talk about things like this for fear of being controversial or offending someone but this lack of response is precisely why problems like this keep growing. The same thing happened in Nazi Germany only about 5 percent of the Christian churches were openly opposed to Hitler the others said nothing or actively supported him. We all know how that ended up.
