By Christina Sarich “Drug companies are like high school boyfriends. They’re more interested in getting inside you than in being effective once they are there.” This is just one of the hilariously-accurate remarks made by John Oliver, who was a hopeful replacement for Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. Oliver made his comments on HBOs Last Week Tonight, in a 17-minute long, scathingly honest diatribe about how the pharmaceutical industry bribes doctors to sell us drugs we don’t really need. [1] Oliver doesn’t just capitulate to the masses with a few moments of comedic brevity, either. He also steers viewers [More]

In the last years of the 20th century fraud entered US foreign policy in a new way. On false pretenses Washington dismantled Yugoslavia and Serbia in order to advance an undeclared agenda. In the 21st century this fraud multiplied many times. Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and Libya were destroyed, and Iran and Syria would also have been destroyed if the President of Russia had not prevented it. Washington is also behind the current destruction of Yemen. Additionally, Washington operated militarily within Pakistan without declaring war, murdering many women, children, and village elders under the guise of “combating terrorism.” Washington’s war crimes [More]
There is an “unprecedented” crackdown on churches in Cuba according to a new report by Christian Solidarity Worldwide. The figures compiled by CSW show there was a tenfold increase in the number of religious freedom violations in Cuba in 2015 with 2,300 separate violations recorded compared to only 220 in 2014. CSW reports the spike is largely due to government hostility against churches, with 2,000 Assemblies of God churches declared illegal and 100 shut down or demolished. The government also took over the properties of several other denominations. Read More: Cuban Churches Face ‘Unprecedented’ Crackdown | CBN.com (beta)

By Christina Sarich A prominent scientist recently exercised his whistleblowing rights from within the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service. The agency said that the scientists claim is ‘frivolous,’ but a judge says that his claim is serious, and will NOT be dismissed. Judge Patricia M. Miller, an administrative judge with the Merit Systems Protection Board, rejected the USDA’s petition to dismiss a complaint from research entomologist Jonathan Lundgren, submitted with allegations that it was ‘speculative and unsupported.’ Instead, a January 6 status conference was scheduled and both parties argued their points, with the judges urging to come to a possible settlement.
