By Ken Ham As I’ve spoken and written over the years on topics regarding creation, I find many Christians agree with me about evolution, but they vehemently disagree when it comes to the age of the earth. And they don’t just disagree—many get very upset and quite emotional at times over my insistence that the days of creation are ordinary 24-hour days and that the earth can’t be billions of years old but is only about 6,000 years old. Why all this emotion? Well, I don’t find such people getting so emotional about the way I interpret the word “day”

By Ken Ham I know that what I call “bathtub arks” (like the one in the picture below) seen in many children’s books and on the walls of some Sunday-, Christian-, or home-school classrooms look cute, but I do want to challenge everyone by stating I believe they can be dangerous in a certain way. Now why would I say that? After all, there are bathtub ark models in gift stores all over the world, and arks overloaded with land animals—including giraffes with their necks sticking out the chimney—looking like they’re about to sink at any moment. They are …read

By Ken Ham Should Christians send their children to public schools? Now, first I want to say it’s the parents’ decision as to where they send their kids to be educated. And I do recognize in a fallen world there are all sorts of family issues (e.g., single-parent families) for varied reasons. However, at the very minimum, each Christian should build their thinking on God’s Word in regard to the training of children and do the best they possible can with much prayer and God’s help—and hopefully the help of God’s people in the church—to attain to what God instructs.

By Ken Ham Did you know that evolutionary scientists can’t explain where space, time, matter, and energy came from? You might think, “Yes they have—the big bang!” But, by their own admission, the big bang model doesn’t tell us anything about how everything came from nothing. Rather, this model seeks to explain what happened immediately after the supposed big bang. That’s why a recent headline proclaimed, “The Big Bang says nothing about the creation of the cosmos.” The article accompanying that headline states, We are often told that the Big Bang is a theory of cosmic creation — that it

Evolutionary scientists are baffled by a large ant fossil found in British Columbia, Canada. Known as Titanomyrma, this same ant had been found previously in Europe and in Wyoming in rocks claimed to be 50 million years old.1,2 Because they hold to a uniformitarian worldview, the scientists are locked into believing these ants had to migrate across the cold Arctic from one continent to the other. But how? Acco… More… …read more Source: icr.org

By Ken Ham One topic that often stirs up emotional reactions and greatly varied opinions concerns music in churches. Do I even want to go there? Well, I thought I would give it a try. God’s Word states, Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! (Psalm 95:1) Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart. (Ephesians 5:19) Now, the rub comes because people’s views of music can be quite subjective, and there’s many different styles

By Ken Ham Over the years, I’ve heard this same tired argument over and over again—and it’s been popping up recently in the comments posted to my social media posts—so I thought I would address it again. It goes something like this: “The days of creation can’t be ordinary days, as the Bible states that a day is like a thousand years.” Sometimes I can’t believe Christians even try to use this argument, but it’s actually quite prevalent in the church. So, let’s start by considering the passage of Scripture this argument is alluding to: 2 Peter 3:8. But do

In nature, noncoincidental patterns and geometry exist everywhere. But the number six appears to overshadow nature’s mathematical landscape. By Ken Ham I’m excited to announce that a brand-new ministry has opened its doors just three minutes from the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky. Patriots Landing, a Christian ministry enhancing the lives of veterans and their families, specifically chose Northern Kentucky, and Williamstown particularly, as their ministry home because of the proximity to the Ark. We hope many of our guests will drop by to see and support this ministry. Here’s how the founder of this ministry describes the mission of Patriots Landing, and what it offers: Patriots Landing is a rural, faith-based veterans woodshop whose mission is to

By Ken Ham Over the years, I’ve had a number of church leaders and Christian college and seminary profs say how wonderful the Intelligent Design (ID) movement is and what a great help to the church it is. But is it really? First, we need to understand the difference between intelligent design arguments and the Intelligent Design movement. Intelligent Design Arguments At Answers in Genesis, we use various intelligent design arguments in a number of our presentations and articles. These arguments clearly illustrate Romans 1:19–20. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown
