The creation of original, distinct creature kinds confronts the evolutionary teaching that animals can endlessly morph from one form to another. Recent news reports reveal two clear illustrations of sea creatures living and reproducing according to their kind right from the start. More… …read more Read more here: icr.org
Carbon-14 is an unstable form of carbon that decays into nitrogen 14 at a measured rate—and this forms the basis of carbon-14 dating. In 2003 a group of researchers performed an unusual test on 10 coal samples obtained from Pennsylvania State University. The researchers wanted to see if carbon-14 could be detected in the coal samples. This test might be considered ‘unusual’ because carbon-14 decays relatively fast, and should not be detectable after a maximum of 90,000 years. Yet the coal samples tested came from strata allegedly ranging in age from 37 million to 318 million years. The laboratory results

Bodies bounce while jogging or performing any number of other vigorous activities, usually without getting dizzy. However, bodies get dizzy when they are “bounced” from the outside, like while on a boat or airplane. What’s the difference? Researchers pinpointed amazing new details behind the mechanism that maintains balance during voluntary motion, but their notion of its origins clearly misses the mark. More… …read more Read more here: icr.org
By Multimedia On this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin and Dr. Wolf-Ekkehard Lönnig continue their discussion of why the body plan of the long-neck giraffe could not have evolved in a step-by-step Darwinian fashion. Dr. Lönnig gives an account of the rational design of the giraffe’s recurrent laryngeal nerve, a feature that Richard Dawkins and other evolutionists claim can only be explained by Darwinian evolution. By Multimedia On this episode of ID the Future, Casey Luskin talks with geneticist Dr. Wolf-Ekkehard Lönnig about his book, The Evolution of the Long-Necked Giraffe. For years, Darwinists have presented the giraffe as a textbook example of adaptive morphological change in response to environmental conditions. Tune in as Dr. Lönnig discusses the problems with the idea that millions of years of mutations could create the many differences between a short-necked and a long-necked giraffe. By Ken Ham One of the most-asked questions I receive from parents, especially when I’m out conducting speaking ministry or meeting people at the Creation Museum, concerns whether there are any Christian colleges, universities, or seminaries that take the same stand we do at Answers in Genesis on the authority of God’s Word from the very first verse. Many students also ask me the same question as they consider where they will attend college. So let me ask you: Where will you invest your college years? Your answer could play a huge part in shaping your career, your family, and

How do fish survive in Antarctic waters without freezing? The answer is that their blood plasma has lots of ‘antifreeze’ protein that bind to ice and prevent the crystals from growing and thus causing damage. Some evolutionists claim that this is an example of ‘evolution in action’ because new DNA code has been created that codes for the antifreeze protein. But does this really support molecules-to-man evolution?

By Creation Moments There are 13 species of a brightly plumed little songbird known as the fairy wren. The birds are found in Australia and New Guinea. So colorful are their feathers that the various species go by names like “superb,” “splendid” and “lovely.” However, even more noteworthy is the birds’ unusual behavior. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

Stromatolites are regarded by many as the oldest fossils on earth. They are interpreted as the remains of colonies of blue-green algae, or more accurately, cyanobacteria. The oldest ones are claimed to be 3.5 billion years old. Within this evolutionary perspective, one would expect these colonies to have radically changed, but remarkably, they are essentially the same today. Stromatolites, therefore, are classic examples of living fossils.
By Ken Ham Shoulder blade shapes have been compared between humans and existing apes as well as fossilized apes. Well, evolutionists wouldn’t call the fossils apes. An article stated that a recent study suggests that the last common ancestor (often shortened to LCA) of humans and apes “looked a lot like a chimpanzee or gorilla . . . at least in the shoulder.” The PNAS study, titled “Fossil hominin shoulders support an African ape-like last common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees,” explains, A laterally facing shoulder blade allows humans to store energy in their shoulders, much like a slingshot, facilitating

By Ken Ham For years I’ve been saying that once you open the door to redefine marriage, where do you stop? Well, that’s already starting to happen since the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) decision to legalize gay “marriage” in June. After all, if “love wins,” as gay “marriage” activists say, then by this line of thinking why shouldn’t “love win” in cases of polygamy, bestiality, and pedophilia? As soon as you get rid of an absolute standard—God’s Word—anything and everything goes with regard to marriage. It’s just like Scripture says, “everyone did what was right in his

By Ken Ham Did you know that the world-class Creation Museum (the largest of its kind in the world) isn’t the only creationist museum in America? Scattered across the nation—and even internationally—are dozens of Bible-affirming museums that teach a biblical worldview and uphold the history recorded in God’s Word. Well, one of these museums is the Creation and Earth History Museum of Santee, California (near San Diego). It includes an age of the Earth cave, a Grand Canyon exhibit, a human anatomy exhibit, and even a replica tabernacle. It used to be owned and operated by the Institute for Creation

By Ken Ham While sometimes I’m made fun of by staff in the AiG offices for enjoying science fiction TV programs like Doctor Who and Star Trek, I do admit that I’ve had a long fascination with such shows. Now, many people think that I just spend most of my time exposing the “science fiction” of evolution, but I do like relaxing by watching a Doctor Who episode after a busy day. Although, I must say that with the culture becoming more anti-Christian every day, even though the program is geared for the family, I have noticed that Doctor Who

By Creation Moments It wasn’t until 1839 that cell theory was first described by Theodor Schwann in basically its modern form. By 1858, researcher Rudolf Virchow had learned enough about the cell to conclude that every cell must come from a preexisting cell. But Charles Darwin wasn’t paying attention. The very next year he published a book, On the Origin of Species, which theorized that the first cell was formed from non living matter. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments
