By Ken Ham Tomorrow is Mother’s Day here in America. I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the godly legacy of Norma Ham, my mum (that’s Australian English for mom!). She, together with my dad, worked hard to instill godly character and a love for God’s Word in each of her children. And her legacy lives on in her 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren. Mum is now 89 years old, and her health isn’t great. But she still loves the Lord and is so excited to see how Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, …read more Read [More]

By Ken Ham Road ecology is the study of “how roads, and the salts and chemicals we put on these roads, impact nearby nature.” Well, according to a new study, roads are leading to “rapid evolution” on either side of the highway. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of so-called “rapid evolution”—scientists are increasingly observing small changes over short timescales and calling it “rapid evolution.” But is this change within various plant and animal kinds actually evolution in the sense that new genetic information is appearing? Rapid Evolution on Either Side of the Road? According to study coauthor Steven [More]
By Creation Moments Most people visit the area around Mount St Helens, by leaving Interstate 5 in Washington state at exit 49, and traveling East, along a road called Spirit Lake Highway. The road is so called, because, before 1980, it used to terminate at Spirit Lake. The lake is no longer accessible by road from the West, and even from the East, a substantial hike is required. So, I like to refer to Spirit Lake Highway as the Road to Mount St Helens. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Creation Moments As I sat in my office, to write this program, the wind was howling outside. We have some idea, today, of why the wind blows, as the atmosphere contains shifting areas of high and low pressure. However, the direction of the wind is not simply from high to low – other factors, such as the rotation of the Earth, are also important. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham On May 9, 2017, we announced that Alliance Defending Freedom (a pro bono religious liberties group) had filed a discrimination lawsuit on behalf of Dr. Andrew Snelling, a geologist and researcher here at AiG. For three years, because of his biblical beliefs, Dr. Snelling’s efforts to collect canyon rock samples for research were stonewalled by officials at the Grand Canyon. By Creation Moments I recently recorded a Creation Moments program about the Trinity, as reflected in the first verse of the Bible. My reason for revisiting this matter is for two reasons. 1. By Ken Ham Researchers and scientists constantly turn to God’s creation for unique answers to design problems. After all, God is the greatest designer ever—a God who is infinite in wisdom and knowledge. This practice, called biomimicry, points to the wisdom of our Creator. Our best designs can never rival God’s remarkable handiwork all around us. The latest example of biomimicry is a new experimental steel design inspired by bones. According to an article in Science News, one of steel’s weaknesses is that, after repeated stress, “microscopic cracks” appear which make the material fracture. In an attempt to create stronger, [More]
By Ken Ham Whenever I post on Facebook or Twitter about atheism or secular humanism being religions, I am attacked by several atheists and other humanists who insist their beliefs aren’t religious ones. Of course, the fact that they feel the need to provide answers to religious questions such as “Is there a God?” or “What are good and evil?” shows that they are indeed religious. And now the United States Department of Defense has added humanism to its long list of recognized religions. The Department of Defense recently updated its list of recognized religions from just over 100 to [More]
