By Ken Ham Are you planning to begin reading through the Bible in January 2020? I encourage you to do so—God’s Word is so powerful, and we need to be reading all of it, from Genesis to Revelation. And, with the new year beginning, it’s a great time to start in Genesis chapter one and start reading through Scripture. And we have some resources to help you get started, stay on track, and read through the Bible in 2020—and The Evidence Bible The Bibles that we offer on our online store are on sale at least 30% off, and each

By Sarah Chaffee On this episode of ID the Future, physician Geoffrey Simmons speaks with host Andrew McDiarmid about his new book Are We Here to Recreate Ourselves? The Convergence of Design. There’s a pattern in our re-creating ourselves, Simmons says, even in the artifacts we create, but especially in human reproduction. He sees clues of design in in the processes of reproduction, in development, and in the many complex events in the lungs and vascular system that make childbirth possible. There’s even evidence of intentionality behind aging and death, says Simmons. In sum, Simmons argues, careful observations across many

By Ken Ham What is evolution? Well, that really depends on whom you ask. There are all kinds of definitions out there. Typically, when we think of evolution, we think of Darwinian evolution—the idea of all life descended from a common ancestor as one kind turns into another kind, and eventually ape-like creatures supposedly evolved into humans. But now we often hear a very different definition: those small changes within a kind are, well, evolution! A recent article defined evolution according to a definition from famous evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkins: “evolution is changed gene frequencies in populations.” The article goes

Echinoderms, “spiny-skinned” invertebrates, are first found in the Cambrian sedimentary rock layers as 100% echinoderms. The first brittle stars (Echinoderm, class Ophiuroidea) were found in the Early Ordovician sediments and don’t show any evolution. One of the more interesting of the Ophiuroidea is the brittle star (Ophiocoma wendtii). While snorkeling the waters of Hawaii several years ago, I f… More… …read more Source: icr.org

By Michael Flannery On this episode of ID the Future, host Mike Keas speaks with science historian Michael Flannery about Darwinism, Past, Present, and Future, in which Flannery wonders about an L.A. Times op-ed by Ann Reid, director of the pro-Darwinism lobby group The National Center for Science Education. Evolution is so well established, she said, that questioning it is like doubting that matter is made of atoms. Flannery says she seems not to have noticed that even mainstream biologists have begun to question the long-term viability of Darwinism. Scientists may have felt triumphant in their certainty at the 1959

By Ken Ham Today, we celebrate the twenty-sixth anniversary of the Answers in Genesis ministry! On December 27, 1993, Answers in Genesis was legally constituted. The three founders and their families moved to Kentucky from California in 1994 to really launch the ministry. It has been a blessing being able to serve the Lord in the creation-apologetics, biblical authority ministry for twenty-six years now. Over these years, AiG has grown (and grown!) and changed. Look at how God has expanded the AiG ministry, including the opening of the two world-leading Christian themed attractions. It’s simply amazing! Still, the core message

By Ken Ham Most of what we hear and see on the news is bad. That’s certainly true for issues regarding freedom of religion and the free exercise of religion (Christianity) in America. It seems every week there’s a new attack on Christian freedoms (including around the world, often in very horrific ways). But there was recently some good news on this front, and it’s right here in Kentucky, the state where we’re located. The Kentucky Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of the Christian owner of a T-shirt print shop, Hands On Originals Christian Outfitters. He had declined to

By Ken Ham Sometimes you just have to shake your head. That was my reaction when I read this headline, “Zoo Chimps Doing a ‘Conga Line’ Could Teach Us How Humans Evolved to Dance.” Yes, you read that right! Two chimps swaying and walking in synchronization is thought by these researchers to provide insight into the evolution of dance. These particular chimps were very closely bonded, having been together since they were just a few months old (one of the chimps died in 2018). For several years, they exhibited this strange, apparently self-taught behavior, of walking and swaying in sync.

By Ken Ham Beware of names. For example, Separate but Equal in the US was anything but equal. The Affordable Healthcare Act was anything but affordable. So, should the Fairness for All Act as proposed by the US Congress be taken at face value? Actually, it is another attack on biblical Christianity. The controversial piece of legislation known as “Fairness for All,” which was recently introduced by a Republican congressman, has been called/> a “compromise” between LGBT groups and activists and those who have religious liberty considerations. This legislation would make sexual orientation and gender identity protected classes under the

When biblically-informed Christians talk about the ‘Virgin Birth’ they really mean the ‘Virginal Conception’ (Virginitas ante partum), i.e. that Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity Incarnate, had no human biological father. The doctrine of the Virginal Conception is scriptural and affirmed by early Christians such as Ignatius (d. AD c. 108), Justin Martyr (c. 100 – c. 165), Irenaeus (c. 130 – c. 200), and Tertullian (c. 150 – c. 212). But there was nothing miraculous about the birth. The true doctrine of the Virginal Conception must be distinguished from some false views: …read more Source: creation.com

Based on biblical chronologies, we can determine that the global Flood recorded in Genesis occurred about 4,500 years ago.1 After the Flood, the earth was repopulated by Noah’s three sons and their wives. While a number of previous studies by both secular and creation scientists have supported this general timeline,2-3 a recent study using extens… More… …read more Source: icr.org
