Question: What is worse than a large locust swarm plaguing eight African countries as the worst locust outbreak there in 70 years? Answer: A second swarm larger than the first.1 It was bad enough in February 2020 when eastern Africa was overwhelmed with teeming locust hordes. By Jay W. Richards What do you know about eclipses? Join us today with this classic ID The Future episode from August of 2017, when a perfect solar eclipse was seen in the US. Here, CSC Senior Fellow Jay Richards explains how perfect solar eclipses are the tip of an iceberg-size design argument found in a book he co-wrote, The Privileged Planet. The conditions for a habitable planet (right distance from the right size star, a big but not too big moon that is the right distance away to stabilize Earth’s tilt and circulate its oceans) are also conditions that

The unique nature of the sun is causing many experts to scratch their heads. Extensive studies show that most sun-like stars demonstrate about five times the magnetic activity of our sun. Others reveal that the stars most similar to our sun vary in brightness about twelve times more than the sun in a given solar cycle.1,2 In other words, the sun in our solar system is much more stable than other similar st… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Ken Ham Don’t kid yourself. Legalized polygamy and the acceptance of other “sexual orientations” such as polyamory is coming to America. The rumblings of this next social upheaval have already started, as a recent article highlighted, with activists pushing to have what’s called “polyamory” protected under a brand-new class, “relationship structure.” Universities are forming clubs, TV shows are featuring polyamorous couples, a polyamorous flag has been devleoped, and “consensual nonmonogamy” is being researched and recognized within academia. Once gay “marriage” was legalized, I warned that once the door opened to reintpret marriage, ultimately anything can go. Once gay “marriage”

Recently, geologist Harry S. Pettingill has found that deepwater oil and gas fields may be more environmentally friendly than first thought.1 In this day and age of trying to find an energy source that makes the smallest environmental impact, we may have overlooked a solution right below our feet…or actually, deep beneath the ocean. Heather Saucier summarized Pettingill’s findings in the April issue of The AAPG Exp… More… …read more Source: icr.org

Springtime, in many places—especially Texas—is a very active time for birds.1 Nests are built. Mating and egg incubation leads to raising hatchlings. Before long, those hatchlings become fledglings. Bird life goes on—birds are fruitful, multiply, and fill their special niches on Earth.2 Due to migration patterns, many birds stay in Texas during the winter and migrate north before spring is fi… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Ken Ham “Pillars of Creation” is the name given to an iconic photograph of a vast region within the Eagle Nebula, a cloud of dust and gas seven thousand light years from earth. Secular astronomers consider these nebulas to be the birthplace of stars. A recent article, reflecting on an updated infrared version of the Pillars of Creation photo, claims the tops of these pillars will disappear as baby stars grow. According to God’s Word, stars didn’t form slowly and gradually from “protostars” in nurseries. They were formed at God’s command when “he made the stars also” (Genesis 1:16).

By Geoffrey Simmons On this episode of ID the Future, internal medicine specialist Dr. Geoff Simmons speaks with host Andrew McDiarmid about his recent Evolution News article on the body’s response to the coronavirus, our immune system. It comprises an enormously complex enterprise with adaptive memory for millions of pathogens and the ability to keep on learning more. Researchers study it to learn how to create vaccines for diseases like COVID-19. Their work is one of intelligent design from start to finish. But, Simmons says, we ought to recognize that it starts with studying systems in our bodies that are
