The world is alive with beetles! A 2022 study by 17 biologists states, “Beetles constitute the most biodiverse animal order with over 380 000 described species and possibly several million more yet unnamed.”1 Why are there so many types of beetles? They form a large part of the world’s biodiversity critical for decomposition (e.g. forests) and feed on problem insects such as caterpillars a… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Ken Ham A recent news article caught my attention on the lengths that the anti-life liberals will go to promote their radical agenda. An organization called “StopHavingKids.org” has recently been putting up billboards and signage in Oregon promoting its message. And as you can already guess by the name, its message is antibiblical fearmongering. One billboard lists the organizational name and a picture of a baby in a circle with a line through it. Another states the depressing mantra, “A lot of humans wish they were never born.” How’s that for an uplifting message? And to make it sadder, [More]

By Ken Ham History is the study of cultures, peoples, and places. Who were the people? When did they live? What did they do? But did you know the peoples and cultures that make up history were far more connected than you probably realize? And those close connections—which are only now being unveiled through genetics (including a study of research conducted on the Y chromosome in males)—rewrite everything we thought we knew about human history. This brand-new research is very exciting as it’s only possible because the researcher, Harvard-trained Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson, starts with God’s Word, not the evolutionary timeline. [More]

Conventional geologists are still baffled by the Cambrian Explosion. Some try to deny that it was sudden,1 but most admit that Cambrian rocks record the sudden appearance of fossils from nearly every animal group. And the glaring lack of ancestors in rocks below the Cambrian increases the mystery.1 A new study of the Chengjiang Biota in Yunnan Province, China, tries to solve the mystery. The authors claim that… More… …read more Source: icr.org

And if so, why? Well, that depends on your worldview. By Ken Ham Intelligent design—allies of biblical creationists? We’ve said for years that the Intelligent Design (ID) movement—the idea that certain features in various living things were designed by an “intelligent cause” rather than through solely naturalistic processes—is incomplete. While certain ID arguments about design are helpful in pointing people to the Creator (and we use many of them in various ways), ID arguments aren’t enough. Why is that? The creator might be the biblical God (there are some biblical creationists in the movement), the Muslim god, an alien, or some other “intelligent cause.” In the ID movement, any creator [More]
By Ken Ham Suffering is all around us—in our world, in our country, in our homes, and in our hearts. Romans 5:3 says we “rejoice in our sufferings”; James calls us to “count it all joy” (James 1:2); and Jesus told us to “take heart” (John 16:33) when tribulation strikes. How can we abide (“bear patiently,” per I Peter 2:20) amid global, national, and personal suffering?
