On days one through five of the creation week, God developed and populated the originally empty (“without form and void”1) earth introduced in Genesis 1:2. He did so with great precision and tact to form a magnificent backdrop on which to place His crowning creative achievement, humankind. Not only did God save the best for last, but He created humans distinctly different from animals. Human life was segregated in distinct … More… …read more Source: icr.org
By William A. Dembski On this ID the Future intelligent design pioneer William Dembski unpacks one of his chapters in The Comprehensive Guide to Science and Faith: Exploring the Ultimate Questions about Life and the Cosmos, which Dembski co-edited with Joseph Holden and episode host Casey Luskin. The chapter, “Why Intelligent Design Matters,” focuses on ID’s cultural implications. Dembski notes that atheists use mindless evolution to provide a God-free explanation for life and the universe. Intelligent design checks that move, showing that blind material processes couldn’t have created many things in nature, much less the cosmos itself. Intelligent design is

By Ken Ham Did you know that everyone wears a pair of glasses? I’m not talking about glasses to see long distance or close up. I’m talking about another set of glasses. And ultimately, these glasses that everyone wears have one of two programs! I was thinking about this as I was watching the new sign go up on our Virtual Reality Experience building at the Ark Encounter. Inside this building, we have a high-tech virtual reality ride. People put on our special virtual reality glasses that are programmed to enable them to go back in time and see a

By Ken Ham A nearly complete ichthyosaur skeleton that was discovered in 2009 was also covered in a news article recently. It (and another partial fossil discovered in 1926) were described in the April 7 edition of the journal PeerJ. Both fossils were found in the Solnhofen limestone of southern Germany in early Tithonian (Late Jurassic) sedimentary layers. What grabbed my attention was the mention of soft tissue and blubber in a supposedly 150-million-year-old fossil. Now unlike soft tissue finds in T. rex and hadrosaurs, where the tissue was soft and viable, this “soft tissue” has been replaced by the

By Ken Ham Does your church put on a Vacation Bible School program each summer? If so (or if you are considering starting this outreach next year), how would you like to win a $1,000 shopping spree for VBS materials? That shopping spree is just part of the grand prize for our exciting 2023 VBS giveaway as we prepare to reveal the theme for our next Answers VBS program. It’s not “fluffy” moralistic teaching for kids—it’s meat from God’s Word that equips kids to think biblically and answers the questions of our day. I can’t share what the theme is

By Ken Ham We recently hosted our first ever homeschool experience at the Ark Encounter, “Building Strong Foundations: A Family Homeschool Experience.” More than just a family conference, this experience allowed families to tour the life-size Ark Encounter with exclusive after-hours access, meet the animals in Ararat Ridge Zoo, visit the Creation Museum, shop our vendor hall for homeschooling resources, relax and enjoy concerts, presentations, and hands-on breakout sessions for parents, teens, and children, and so much more! This event sold out very quickly, so we added extra dates—which also sold out! Families were so excited for this unique experience

By Ken Ham A recent news item caught my eye. It was describing a genetic study that attempted to correlate dog breeds’ behavior with their genetics. About 50% of the dogs were known or inferred purebreds, and the others were “mutts.” Some of the results were pretty much expected for certain breeds, but many showed little correlation. For example, the dogs that showed the highest correlation between genetics and the ability to understand human speech and follow commands (termed biddability) were Belgian shepherds and border collies (a herding dog) and the Hungarian Viszla (a hunting dog). Owners were also asked

By Ken Ham Memorial Day (May 30, 2022) is just around the corner. And we’re getting ready to thank those who have served in the United States military by offering all former and active-duty military free admission to both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum—the two leading Christian themed attractions in the world—on Memorial Day. We hope many former and active military will be able to visit on this special day (or make plans to visit on July Fourth or Veteran’s Day, when we also offer you free admission). We hope many former and active military will be able

Some recent science news stories have come out describing fossils of insects feeding on plants supposedly many “millions of years ago.” What is amazing is the fossil plants and insects are just like the ones we find alive today.1 All that is different are the grossly inflated evolutionary ages (‘deep evolutionary time’) unnecessarily forced on them. These fossils are interesting because there is no evolution doc… More… …read more Source: icr.org
By Ken Ham Recently I wrote about the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that looks to overturn the horrific 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. Although this leaked document was only a draft and no official ruling has been made public yet, the leak has caused the abortion debate to explode (violently), once again, across the nation—you’ve likely seen just some of the intense emotions surrounding such an important topic in your social media feeds. But, sadly, the rage felt by many who are pro-abortion (really, pro-child–sacrifice, which is murder), was expressed by at least one person who

By Ken Ham Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—I ran across this article, which immediately reminded me of the providence of God on post-flood animals. The title of the article predictably attributes the geographic success of ravens and crows to “evolution,” but in reality, what is discussed is adaptation, not molecules-to-man evolution. Ravens and crows have a worldwide distribution. Ravens and crows (and there really is not much difference between them except that ravens are generally larger and crows typically have a bit more color

By Ken Ham Studying science is more than just learning a series of facts about the world from a textbook. It’s a discipline and methodology of how we investigate and study the world around us. But this “hands-on” portion of science and the collaboration inherent within the sciences are hard to replicate at home without expensive equipment and supplies. And that’s why we’re offering a year of science labs for high school students at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Northern Kentucky. Five high-school-level science lab courses are available for registration in the 2022–2023 school year. Biology (available at
