By Ken Ham During my time in Australia, I’ve asked a number of Answers in Genesis staff members to contribute posts to my blog. Today’s short blog post comes from Steve Ham, our director of outreach. Steve has a heart for the biblical counseling movement, and recently reviewed a book on the subject called Counseling the Hard Cases, edited by Dr. Stuart Scott and Heath Lambert. I’ve included the introductory paragraphs of Steve’s review below. Recently I had the opportunity to read and review the book Counseling the Hard Cases. This book places the biblical counseling movement on display as

By Creation Moments Two thousand years ago parchment or papyrus pages of written works were all stitched together end to end into a long roll wound around a wooden or metal bar. It was called a scroll. The problem in reading it was that you had to spin through the entire roll if you wanted to read, say, a passage on the last page. Just like the old video or audiotapes. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham Many of my recent thoughts about AiG’s various outreaches have been revolving around what is happening globally. This is not only because I am out of the country and in Australia to visit family (I also spoke in a Queensland church this past Sunday), but also because of so many AiG creation-gospel outreaches happening abroad. For my blog post today, I am sharing an international report from AiG researcher, writer, and popular speaker Dr. Terry Mortenson. He starts with what recently happened in northern Arizona that eventually helped with the global outreach of AiG: Ken, There have

By Ken Ham As I wrote last week, one of AiG’s major events of the year will take place next month inside our Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum. Open to any Christian leader, the “Answers for Pastors” conference will be held October 8–10. Our theme this year is Steadfast Shepherds, Unshakable Sheep. For churches to have strong flocks, pastors and other church leaders must be steadfast. Shepherds must have their beliefs founded in God’s Word. At Answers for Pastors, we will equip pastors and other Christian leaders to be bold in proclaiming an unshakable faith. This year one of

By Ken Ham BioLogos, an organization that seeks to teach Christians that evolutionary ideas are supposedly compatible with Scripture, continues to try to influence families toward giving up a historical Genesis. A recent article appeared on the BioLogos website written by Praveen Sethupathy, an assistant professor of genetics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Titled “Conversing With Our Children about Creation and Evolution,” the article by Sethupathy explains where he believes the church has gone wrong in the origins debate. He writes that he desires to honor God’s Word as the authority when it comes to our origins:

By Ken Ham I love to share testimonies to encourage you regarding the impact of the ministry of AiG. Here are a couple that Dr. Andrew Snelling (Director of Research, AiG) received recently: A Swiss gentleman wrote the following: Yesterday evening we went to have dinner with some colleagues from work. One man—he has a doctor-degree in microbiology (the Nestlé plant I work for “produces” about 80 tons of microorganisms per year)—was quite astonished to hear clear answers from the Bible on scientific questions. We also talked about the fact, that information in the DNA (or information at all) is

By Creation Moments It seems that when it came to designing the millions of different creatures in the sea, God used an additional measure of imagination. Part of the reason might be that creatures that live in the near weightlessness of water can be designed with more variation in the shape of their bodies and in the ways they can move. But another factor seems to be that God set out to create certain features that cannot be explained by any human theory. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

By Ken Ham Earlier this year I wrote a blog post about how schools in Massachusetts are beginning to change the rules to allow students to determine their own gender identity and to use locker rooms and restrooms accordingly. Those changes signaled, I believe, what is going to become the norm in the U.S. Well, a week ago California became the first state to pass a state law requiring public schools to cater to so-called transgender students. According to an article in the Washington Post, the law requires schools to accept students’ own claims about their gender: Democratic Gov. Jerry

By Ken Ham Yesterday I wrote about a very positive review of the Creation Museum, and also about people (Christian and non-Christian) who deliberately misrepresent the Creation Museum in their attempts to undermine its Bible-upholding teachings. Misrepresentations of our ministry are not just limited to the Creation Museum. Here’s an incredible charge related to the “Answers” radio program I host. Someone listened to one of my programs and claimed that I had admitted that science proves evolution! But what did I really say on the program? Did I admit that science has proved evolution? Well, here is my script—judge for

It came from a family that visited the Creation Museum last week and rode our large zip line course. On Thursday, we opened our long-awaited Aerial Challenge Course and Super Zip lines on our beautiful grounds! Well, within a day of the new

By Creation Moments It was once thought that language was a relatively late development in the evolution of man. Language among the lower animals was dismissed as a fantasy. So when the Bible speaks of the whole creation praising God, these same people said that this was just a figurative expression. Now modern science has shown that many creatures do have a language of their own – language which, we point out, can also be used to praise the Creator. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments
By Ken Ham I have some sad news to share: My long-time friend and colleague, Graham Scott, who headed up our sister group in the United Kingdom for many years, passed away yesterday. He was a very dedicated servant of God who worked tirelessly and sacrificially to proclaim the creation-gospel message throughout the UK and the rest of Europe. I will have more to say about this dear brother tomorrow on my blog. Graham leaves behind his wife Anthea and daughter Philippa—please pray for them. Below is a 2012 photo of Graham and Anthea: The Next Bible Bee While I’m

By Creation Moments In man’s way of thinking, a small animal – especially one that lives in the ocean – tends to be regarded as unimportant. However, in God’s view, all living things are His creation, and not one is ever unimportant. A good example is the smallest of the sea turtles.
