By Ken Ham What should you do when you read an article like this one on the NBC news website titled “Ice-blasting test proves that comet impacts can spark life’s ingredients”? This article begins as follows: Scientists fired steel balls into blocks of ice with a glorified BB gun to prove that cometary impacts could have created the chemical building blocks of life on ancient Earth. Or on the icy moons of Saturn and Jupiter, for that matter. The experiment provided further support for the idea that the stuff of comets, plus the heat of impact, would be enough to

By Ken Ham At next month’s “Answers for Pastors” conference (which is open to any Christian leader), our theme is Steadfast Shepherds – Unshakable Sheep. So what does that title really mean? The apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 11:1 that we should “imitate me as I imitate Christ.” In order for Christian leaders like our pastors to have strong flocks as unshakable sheep, they must first be modeling that strength and steadfastness. The shepherd must be grounded on the foundation of God’s Word. They must be solid in their beliefs founded in Scripture. At Answers for Pastors, October 8–10

By Ken Ham Would you believe me if I told you there were people who were praying—yes, praying—that God would help them to murder children? I’m sure you would be horrified at such a suggestion and say that this could not be so—but it is! Last month Iowa Democrats gathered at the state capitol for a rally, and they opened the rally in prayer. They prayed that God would expand abortion rights. Midge Slater, a liberal political activist who offered the prayer, thanked God for abortion rights and asked for the protection of doctors who perform abortions. Here is some

By Ken Ham Our very own Bodie Hodge has recently finished editing a new book on our celebration of Christmas. Here is what our publisher Master Books (a division of New Leaf Publishing Group) shared this week: Is Christmas just a bunch of pagan symbols “Christianized” for the celebration? Is it about the birth of Jesus or simply celebrating the earthly gifts we give ourselves? Hodge addressees these questions and more in the soon-to-be released book from Master Books, The War on Christmas: Battles in Faith, Tradition, and Religious Expression. We want you to be a part of spreading this

By Ken Ham Just over eleven years ago my younger brother Robert passed away from a horrible disease. He was a great Bible teacher, and I know today he is totally healed and in his eternal home with his Lord and Savior. Over the years as I’ve spoken around the world on the authority of Scripture, one of the most-asked questions I’ve received is how one can believe in a loving God when observing the death and suffering around us. As a result of my brother’s death, I decided to write a book titled How Could a Loving God …?

Click here to listen. Which requires more faith? A belief in multiple universes or a belief in the intelligent design of our universe? On this episode of ID The Future, host David Boze explores the ideas found in a recent Harper’s Magazine article by MIT physicist and author Alan Lightman. Some physicists attempt to side-step the intelligent design implications of our finely-tuned universe by suggesting that ours is merely one of countless universes, each with its own laws and constants.
By Creation Moments Bones can tell stories. An interesting story of man’s relationship with the horse is told by the fossilized teeth of ancient horses. You see, domesticated horses have a habit called crib biting – biting the rails in their corral. Wild horses don’t do this. Crib biting creates a specific pattern of wear. So, when scientists find horses’ teeth that have this pattern, they know that it comes from a domesticated horse. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments
By Creation Moments Everyone has seen pictures of the planet Saturn and its beautiful rings. Well, it is now known that many of our solar system’s outer planets have rings. However, these rings are a problem for those astronomers who think that the universe is billions of years old. You see, the rings, which encircle the outer planets, would not be around today if the universe really was billions of years old. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

The rattlesnake has two sets of eyes – one set for light that is visible to us and another set for infrared radiation. By Ken Ham Christians continue to be negatively affected by the homosexual rights movement. Recently, a Christian-owned bakery called Sweet Cakes by Melissa announced that they would be closing their doors because of the backlash they received after refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding. Fox News reported that the bakery owners refused to bake the cake for a lesbian couple and consequently had a government investigation launched against them for possible discrimination. The news report included an alarming quote from a city official: Commissioner Brad Avakian told The Oregonian that he was committed to a fair and

By Ken Ham Last week, the compromise happening in many mainstream denominations and among many professing Christians on homosexual behavior was given a very public platform. On September 4, the NALT Christians Project was launched, asking professing Christians to submit videos of themselves voicing their support for practicing homosexuals and transgender people. The Religion News Service reported that “the NALT project aims to be a platform for Christians who post videos in support. . . . Supporters of the project include The Evangelical Network, Auburn Seminary, and the gay Catholic group Dignity USA. The project is spearhead [sic] by Christian

By Ken Ham During my time in Australia, I’ve asked a number of Answers in Genesis staff members to contribute posts to my blog. Today’s short blog post comes from Steve Ham, our director of outreach. Steve has a heart for the biblical counseling movement, and recently reviewed a book on the subject called Counseling the Hard Cases, edited by Dr. Stuart Scott and Heath Lambert. I’ve included the introductory paragraphs of Steve’s review below. Recently I had the opportunity to read and review the book Counseling the Hard Cases.
