I write a biweekly column called ‘Life is Mysterious’ for The Greenville Sun. It’s all about the miracles, big and small, that I encounter in everyday life. Sometimes people ask me, “Ella, how can I attract more miracles?”   I don’t have a foolproof method for producing miracles (I wish!). But there are some things you can do to be more open to the miracles all around you.   Here are my five steps for seeking out the wondrous in life.   Read More: 5 Ways to Discover More Miracles Around You | Guideposts
04/16/19   “Some sobering thoughts by Michael Boldea Jr., who experienced living under Communism,  on the nature of Socialism/Communism that should give us good reason to see that neither ever rear their ugly head here. You can read his 30 latest blog posts here: http://proofthebibleistrue.com/michael-boldea-jrs-30-latest-blog-posts-always-a-good-read”  Admin   Before acquiring power, and running what was once known as the breadbasket of Europe into the ground, Nicolae Ceausescu’s dream, the pinnacle of his aspirations on this earth, was to be a shoemaker. He never succeeded at becoming a shoemaker, he just dreamed of being one. Although there is nothing wrong with being [More]
07/14/20   In India, it’s said there are millions of gods; although, no one has an exact count. Worshipers often travel to ancient temples to make small sacrifices and mark themselves with a talika—a mixture of ash, clay, turmeric or sandalwood—across their foreheads as a religious symbol.   However, within the second-most populous country in the world, millions of people are finding the one, true God—and their lives are never the same. These new believers are not marked with a talika on the foreheads but with the love of Christ on their hearts.   One of these believers is named [More]
07/14/20   John* arrived at the airport late in the evening. There was only one more hurdle to get through before he was safely with his contacts, secret Christians who were following Jesus in this Middle Eastern country we can’t name.   He had to make it through the border.   He went to the customs line at about 9:30 pm. His hope was the customs officers wouldn’t ask to see inside John’s suitcase; he hoped they would just wave him through.   That’s not what happened.   Read More: Confessions of a Middle East Bible smuggler
07/14/20   I love a good smack to the face. A solid punch to the gut. A round kick that leaves you breathless. I got beat up listening to Coach and Joe today, but not in a way that pushed me down. It was in a way that tore apathy from my eyes and roughed me up so that I could rise up, stand in all that I’ve been given, and to stop being so dang petty.   Read More: A Wake-Up Call for Apathetic Christians — Charisma News
07/13/20   It’s one thing to have a readily identifiable enemy, an external force wanting to do you harm, or an army of marauders at the gates keeping you under siege. It’s quite another when the enemy is within, plotting and scheming, using anything they can as a pretext to achieve their ultimate goal.   An external enemy unites the people of the nation being attacked. The people mount up a resistance, they fortify the battlements, they defend the homeland, and they push back the enemy. It brings them together, having the singular purpose of protecting their families, their homes, [More]
06/30/20   For the most part, we’ve already proven the church is a mass of do-nothing pearl-clutchers more aghast at the thought of the President tweeting something snarky then seeing people getting their heads caved in on live television. We have seen that cowardice runs through our veins, and we are willing to prostrate ourselves and kneel at the feet of those who moments earlier burned down our businesses and violently accosted our neighbors. Fear of retribution has kept us silent, and none dare speaks the unspeakable truth that if this was ever about George Floyd and his untimely death, [More]
06/19/20   The fruit of Pat Robertson’s ministry as the founder of Christian Broadcasting Network, Regent University and Operation Blessing, and as a prolific author, is undeniable. He’s helped lead multitudes to Jesus as the founder and CEO of the Christian Broadcasting Network, and his flagship program, The 700 Club, reaches millions daily with the gospel of Christ.   But if there’s one thing Robertson wants people to understand, it’s that God is not just a celestial being who controls our lives. He’s the living God, one that everyone—believers and nonbelievers alike—can seek every day for comfort and guidance.   [More]

06/10/20 “I decided to bring this post to the front again as things are getting worse as I stated they would. We are indeed living in perilous times for a number of reasons. If you are not right with God get right with Him now so you will be prepared for whatever the future holds.”  Admin UPDATED 08/19/17 I want to describe a vision given to Richard Swanson the author of the book Spare Your People. The book was published in 1986 and basically is in two parts. The first describing why God will judge America and the second detailing dreams [More]
03/29/20   “A little lesson for all of us.”  Admin   Fedex was supposed to be known for its speedy delivery. I shot a look at the clock on the wall. Again. It was almost 4 p.m. What is taking so long? I thought.   “Found it!” the clerk said, holding up the mailing label he’d been digging for. Did he expect a reward?   The clerk had warned me this wasn’t going to be easy. As soon as I walked in he announced, “I’m a newbie.” He also told me his name, which I’d already forgotten in the long [More]
03/25/20   With the Chinese forced to devote huge resources to containing the spread of COVID-19, you would think that the communist government might temporarily lay off persecuting the nation’s hard-pressed Christian community.   Sadly not.   Instead, the shuttering of churches to stem coronavirus infections has presented the state with a key opportunity to ransack sanctuaries and strip worship centers of their Christian symbolism.   Read More: Despite Coronavirus, Chinese Government Continues to Destroy Churches, Steal Crosses | CBN News
03/25/20   The Bible is God’s Word and is full of truth for every situation we face in life. As the world endures quarantines, closures, and even panic during the coronavirus pandemic, God offers peace. His Word can displace anxiety and fear with hope and healing.   Jesus is described as the “Prince of Peace” for those who choose to let him reign over their lives. He offers peace for our troubled minds and freedom from fear. Here are just a few of the great verses in the Bible about God’s power to deliver us from fear – we begin [More]
01/16/20   New regulations regarding religious practice took effect in China in 2018, Open Doors notes in its 2020 World Watch List, which was released Wednesday.   “Christians are increasingly being pushed underground in China,” said David Curry, president of Open Doors. “Pastors are being detained, churches are being closed and people who have a personal faith in Jesus are being watched using technology that was never available before.”   “The Church is being squeezed in China,” he noted.   Yet along with increased monitoring of religious activity and an outright ban on unregistered religious groups, the new norms specifically [More]
11/30/19 “Great commentary by Michael during this Thanksgiving season.”  Admin One of the worst things about our culture and the current generation we are living in is that we’ve made it okay for young and old alike to shirk responsibility. It is a practice that will have lasting, devastating consequences, the depths of which we’ve just begun to see in society. It used to be men had to assume responsibility for themselves. Otherwise, they would perish. If you didn’t forage for food, build a homestead, farm your land, defend what was yours, find a wife, have children, and raise them [More]
11/27/19   “Excellent article by Michael on how the seemingly small things we may do for God can lead to big results far beyond our imagination.”  Admin   One of my eldest daughter’s favorite books is one by Dr. Seuss titled because a little bug went ka-choo. It goes through an entire plethora of unfortunate events that took place, all because, you guessed it, a little bug went ka-choo. There was a cascading effect, a ripple that grew bigger and bigger, and yes, more absurd, but it’s a fun read, and we always have a chuckle, especially when it comes [More]
11/21/19 A few days after *Thuan and his wife *Hien became Christians, local authorities in their village in north Vietnam warned them they must return to tribal ancestor worship, or be kicked out of the village. When Thuan and Hien refused, the village chief publicly denounced them and their new beliefs. Children in the village were now banned from interacting with Thuan and Hien’s kids. A group of relatives, villagers and local authorities destroyed the family’s house, fruit trees and killed or stole their livestock. Thuan and Hien show us what it’s like to be a Christian in Southeast Asia [More]
10/24/19   “According to stats in the article Wicca is growing markedly in the US. Let’s send up some extra prayers for Pres. Trump to make sure he remains well protected from whatever the enemy tries to do, in either the natural or supernatural realms.”  Admin   I know that the headline will sound very strange to a lot of my readers, but this is actually happening. On Oct. 25 at 11:59 p.m., thousands of witches will simultaneously conduct a ritual that is meant to “bind” Donald Trump. Unlike a “curse” or a “hex,” a “binding spell” is not meant [More]
10/08/19 In Psalm 60, the Psalmist describes the totality of God’s victory over Israel’s foes, proclaiming “Moab is my wash basin; upon Edom I cast my sandal.” This is only one of more than 100 mentions of Edom in the Old Testament. The Edomites were descendants from Esau, Jacob’s older brother. The Genesis account of the troubled twins describes Esau as red all over when he was born. Esau, you might remember, sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of red stew. Edom means “red” in Hebrew; thus, Esau’s descendants came to be known as Edomites. Over the years, [More]
“You can read the latest 30 of his blog posts here: http://proofthebibleistrue.com/michael-boldea-jrs-30-latest-blog-posts-always-a-good-read/  ” Admin   Thankfully, generally speaking and for the most part, we men have simple dreams. We dream of waking up next to someone we love every morning, watching our kids grow up healthy, and balanced enough to make the right decisions on their own, paying off the mortgage, and still being able to climb a flight of stairs at fifty.   We do not dream of conquest and power, we do not dream of control and ruling with an iron fist, our dreams are simple, and that’s [More]
10/02/19 Oct. 1, 2019, marks the 70th anniversary of the brutal, Communist takeover of China.   Friday night, I received an anguished phone call, begging me to write about the state of the Christian Church in China. The caller (whose name or location I cannot divulge for her protection) was an attorney in China who had worked within Chinese court system. When she became a Christian, however, she realized that she could not compromise her faith and join the officially atheistic Communist Party, as all judges are expected to do in China.   She explained that three major house churches [More]
10/01/19   One of the more notable takeaways of the 2019 World Watch List is the rise in rank of China. In 2018, the county was ranked at No. 43, suggesting that, while there were certainly isolated examples of persecution against Christians, believers could mostly worship freely.   This year, China is ranked at No. 27. The 2019 rise in China’s persecution score mark’s the country’s highest-ever spike on the list, reflecting a tightening of religious belief that impacts Chinese Christians in every part of society.   How did this happen? What has changed in the last year that has [More]
09/30/19   Today, October 1, 2019, marks the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. It’s a significant milestone for a country that has come a long way since the darkest days of post-World War II reconstruction and Cultural Revolution. China is now a global superpower, home to incredible ingenuity, incredible cultural exports and an economy that impacts the world.   It’s also home to nearly 100 million Christians.   For years, observers around the world have been stunned by the rapid rise of the underground Christian church in China. There are an estimated 97 million Christians in China, [More]
Human beings are naturally social creatures. We crave deep connections with others who share our interests and beliefs. But according to a Cigna’s U.S. Loneliness Index, nearly half of American report sometimes or always feeling alone. We read the Bible and wonder why our prayers don’t get answered like the people we read about in Scripture. Elijah called down fire from heaven. Hezekiah rose from his deathbed. Paul raised Eutychus from the dead. Man, if only…   But not every prayer was answered. The Bible itself makes that clear. Here are four questions to ask yourself if your prayers aren’t being answered.   Read More: 4 Questions to Ask if Your Prayers Aren’t Answered | Guideposts
09/24/19   “Timely post by Michael on how to be at peace in this increasingly stressful world.”  Admin   If I were conspiratorial in nature I would conclude that everything is purposefully engineered to keep people anxious, afraid, scattered, joyless, and on edge. There are only so many things that can occur sequentially one can wave off as coincidence before they have to admit to themselves that there is focused intent behind what is occurring.   If you woke up one morning and found your car tires slashed, you could shrug it off, change your tire, and get on with [More]
09/24/19   Earlier this month, South Bend, IN, Mayor and presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg quoted the Bible in an attempt to speak to the question of abortion: “There are a lot of parts of the Bible that talk about how life begins with breath, and so even that is something that we can interpret differently.”   If we applied the Bible in the way Mayor Pete suggests, abortion would be justified up until birth, a position now firmly embedded and championed across the Democratic Party.   One of the ways Mayor Pete has distinguished his candidacy from all of the [More]
