09/26/20   Intimate relationships of any kind are our greatest spiritual assignments. They are meant to mirror and magnify whatever is going on inside of us, serving as a reflection of our relationship with God. I thought I knew who I was before I got married. I thought I was grounded in my faith. I thought I had it all under control. I thought wrong.   For the first three years of my marriage, I would cringe whenever I saw what I perceived to be “happy couples” talking about their relationship. Their fairytale love anecdotes made me feel like my [More]
09/26/20   “It’s astounding just how few Americans in all age groups hold a standard Biblical worldview.”  Admin   Although 61% of American millennials consider themselves to be Christian, just 2% of them were found to hold a biblical worldview, according to a recent study released by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.   A biblical worldview, as previously defined by Barna, includes believing that absolute moral truths exist, and that such truth is defined by the Bible, as well as firm belief in six specific religious views. Those views are that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life; [More]
09/26/20   As more evidence seemingly suggests, the Judeo-Christian values are essential contributing factors to both social stability and well being of families.   According to a report The New York Times, a study from the Institute for Family Studies and the Wheatley Institution found that “the happiest of all American wives consider themselves religious conservatives.”   As The Blaze noted, the finding didn’t go down with liberals.   A New York Times Opinion tweet read:   “It turns out that the happiest of all wives in America are religious conservatives, followed by their religious progressive counterparts.”   Read More: Liberals Implode as [More]
09/23/20   Actor Jim Caviezel is promising big things with the next installment of The Passion of the Christ.   The star of the original 2004 movie, in which he played Jesus, told Breitbart News he’s received the third draft for the sequel from director Mel Gibson.   The sequel, called The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, doesn’t have a release date yet but Caviezel expects it to be a hit when it does finally land in theaters.   “Mel Gibson just sent me the third picture, the third draft. It’s coming,” he told Breitbart.   “It’s going to be the [More]
09/23/20   It’s a certainty: Trials will come, tight deadlines will have to be met, you’ll have to smile through pain and God will ask you to take on a seemingly impossible task. And you can do it all (and so much more)! That’s because the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, empowered the early church to fulfill Christ’s commission and kept Paul content in his calling will undoubtedly strengthen you to do what you never thought you could. Don’t know where to begin? These three life-tested steps bring God’s supernatural strength for obedience and victory to [More]
09/23/20   “A good lesson from the Old Testament.” Admin   How do we truly seek the Lord? This question has been marinating in my thoughts for the past few weeks. The answer seems pretty straight forward, but there is more to it than meets the eye. As I was reading through 1 Samuel recently, the Lord showed me something I had not noticed before. In the story of Samuel, I usually focus on what God and Samuel are doing, without stepping back and seeing the big picture. This time, I saw the bigger picture. Samuel is the last of [More]
09/23/20   “Something we all should be doing in these chaotic times.” Admin   The Lord recently spoke to me and said, “Tighten down.” I then had a prophetic vision of a wrench tightening down nuts on a bolt to hold them in place.   What I believe the Lord was revealing to me is that there are many believers who are not consistent in the basic practices of walking with God. There are many who do not spend time in the Word of God. They are also not found in the secret place of prayer and do not live [More]
09/23/20   In Egypt, converting from Islam to Christianity is seen as a betrayal of your family and heritage. In Muslim families, any member who leaves their Muslim beliefs and upbringing subjects themselves to tremendous pressure from their immediate and extended family to renounce Christ and return to Islam. Some are locked up, others are isolated, tortured or even killed.   Recently, our Open Doors team in Egypt met with a new believer who shared his awe-inspiring testimony of how God used his cousin’s conversion to remove the scales from his own eyes.   Read More: God’s Word pierces heart [More]
09/23/20   In the past two decades, Open Doors has received almost weekly reports of Christians in Iran imprisoned for leading house churches or being part of a house church. When the Iranian revolution of 1979 established a hardline Islamic regime, the next 20 years ushered in a wave of persecution that continues today.  All missionaries were kicked out, evangelism was outlawed, Bibles in the Persian or Farsi language were banned and several pastors killed.   Just recently, appeals for two convicted Christians, Victor bet-Tamaraz and his wife Shamiram Isavi, were rejected with both receiving summons to report to [More]
09/22/20   “Timely commentary from Michael.” Admin   There isn’t very much that is redeemable about Voltaire, but you’ve got to hand it to the old powdered wig wearing curmudgeon, he did come up with some doozies. There is one quote of his that I’ve been mulling over the past few days, and that is, those who can make you believe absurdities can also make you commit atrocities.   Some things don’t ring true until they do. It’s as simple as that, once you get past all the fluff. I remember reading this quote in my youth, and it rang [More]
09/22/20   Archaeologists have discovered three 2,700-year-old relics of the ancient Kingdom of Judah during ongoing excavations in Jerusalem.   The three decorated column heads bear the same style as others of the kingdom, a symbol of the Davidic dynasty. Experts believe the column heads date from the time of King Hezekiah, a descendant of King David.   “This discovery is really a once-in-a-lifetime discovery,” City of David Foundation Vice President Doron Spielman told The Jerusalem Post.   Read More: ‘Once-in-a-lifetime discovery’: Archaeologists uncover pieces of palace connected to King David
09/17/20   Pastor Frank Amedia is known for his bold and accurate prophetic words. In fact, he had the opportunity to share one with President Trump before the 2016 election that I detail in my book, God, Trump and the 2020 Election. This year, the Lord has given Frank insight into what he says are three shifts. I invited Frank onto my God, Trump and COVID-19 podcast to share his recent prophecies related to these shifts and what they mean for our country.   Frank told me, “As you and I were even uncovering the mystery of the COVID back [More]
09/17/20   After nearly 50 years of serving as senior pastor at First Baptist Church Atlanta, Charles Stanley announced during a pre-recorded streaming service on Sunday that he is stepping down. The megachurch said Stanley will be replaced by Dr. Anthony George.   “Earlier this month, I informed the board that I felt the time had come for me to step down as senior pastor,” Stanley said. “I have many wonderful memories. But as much as I love being your pastor, I know in my heart this season has come to an end.”   Read More: Charles Stanley stepping down [More]
09/17/20   A recent poll reveals that teenagers raised in evangelical churches are “far more likely” to carry on the religious identity of their parents than those who attend mainline Protestant churches with their parents.   The recently released Pew Research Center survey polled more than 1,800 American teens (ages 13-17) and found that 80% of them who are raised by evangelical parents keep the religious identity of their parents. In contrast, just 55% of teens whose parents attend mainline Protestant churches reflect their parents’ religious views.   Read More: Survey: Evangelical teens shine in keeping the faith

09/02/20   We hear a lot about fear in the media these days, so much so that fear has almost become normalized. We have fears for our health, fears for our children and fears for the future. But should fear be normal in the life of a believer?   On a recent episode of the Prophetic Spiritual Warfare podcast, host Kathy DeGraw and guest John Ramirez say a collective no. Ramirez, a former Satanist who was, as he says, “a general in the kingdom of darkness,” tells listeners, “Fear is a choice. I can be fearful; who can be courageous? [More]
09/02/20 “Some sad statistics” Admin According to a preliminary release on the findings of the 2020 State of Theology survey, 52% of American adults believe that Jesus was a great teacher, but he is not God.   Among those surveyed who identified as evangelicals, 30% agree that Jesus was merely a great teacher, and “nearly 65% still agree with the statement, Jesus is the first and greatest being created by God”.   Ligonier Ministries’ biennial State of Theology survey “provides key findings on what Americans think about God, truth, the Bible, worship, and ethical issues”, the authors say.   It [More]
09/02/20   “I’ve read a number of prophecies like this and while they are great to read they must not lull us into complacency … we still have to pray and vote!”  Admin   While our nation is fixated on the upcoming election, God has given a word to an Australian pastor that Donald Trump will win a second term. But that same pastor is calling for prayer.   Dr. Reg Morais, founding pastor of Living Faith Community Church in Perth, Australia, and founder of Anoint the World Ministries, first received a prophetic word at the beginning of 2020. 08/13/20 Sid Roth interview posted on Youtube 08/12/20 Kevin Zadai recently had a 5-1/2 hour face to face encounter with Jesus! What did they talk about? The next 11 years! And then Jesus explained the books of Ephesians and Corinthians verse-by-verse, focusing on the body of believers and the importance of spiritual gifts. Including yours. Jesus then shared wisdom specifically for the season ahead. Including— • The Father’s love • The angelic • The coming move of God • The year of Jubilee • House churches • Prospering in hard times • Mysteries of the faith And finally, Jesus revealed [More]
08/12/20 “At the bottom of the article is a video interview of Tom Horn telling about a supernatural dream he received from God regarding the asteroid Apophis.” Admin We live at a time when giant space rocks are whizzing past our planet with alarming regularity. Sometimes we know in advance that they are coming, and sometimes we don’t. In fact, on July 28th an asteroid the size of a car zipped past our planet “at a range that rivals the orbits of some high-flying satellites”, but we had only spotted it for the very first time on July 26th. If [More]
08/10/20   “Collapsing morals and family life is the forerunner to the eventual collapse of the nation.”  Admin   The Joint Economic Committee of Congress has just produced an important new study titled “The Demise of the Happy Two-Parent Home.” The report exhaustively presents data showing the shocking collapse of marriage and traditional family in America and then explores possible explanations for why it has happened.   In 1962, 71% of women ages 15-44 were married. By 2019, this was down to 42%. In 1962, 5% of women ages 30-34 had never been married. By 2019, this was up to [More]
“I tell you, on the day of judgement people will give account for every careless word they speak for by your words you will be justified, and by words you will be condemned” (Matt. 12:36-37, ESV).   I’m not sure that there is a more sobering verse I could type at the top of this page, but there it is. I was just humming along—reading about good fruit and evil fruit, good treasure and evil treasure—when these two verses seemed to literally jump off the page and stun me.   Have I read them before? Yes. Have I heard them? [More]
Paris, France, 1662. A great man had died, one of the greatest mathematicians and scientists of his age, and his servant was going through his clothes one last time. Folding a doublet, he felt something in the lining. It made a crinkling sound, like paper.   He snipped a seam and removed a piece of parchment. Wrapped inside was a faded scrap of paper with notes scrawled on it. The servant recognized the handwriting. His master had written thousands of pages on arcane topics. But these two pieces of paper held an answer to a greater question, the heart of [More]
08/01/20   “Please remember to keep these and other persecuted Christians in your prayers.” Admin   Police are telling Christians in China they are not allowed to believe in God.   The report comes from Bitter Winter, an online magazine that focuses on religious liberty and human rights in China.   Raids and pressure on house churches by police and government officials across China have intensified in the past few months, the magazine noted.   On June 28, four law enforcement officials were led by the deputy secretary of Leiyang in Hunan province in the raid of a house church. 07/28/20   In the six months Pastor Morad spent in an Iranian prison, 20 people were executed. The minister saw the fear of death in his cellmates’ eyes as they were dragged away to their fate. And as the guards announced the executions over the loudspeakers, Morad prayed.   Lord, You see all this, he said from his cell. Why do You allow this?   There was no answer–only silence.   As the cries of the prisoners echoed in the halls of the jail, Morad’s prayer echoed through the centuries–an age-old question lifted up by countless believers over thousands of years, wondering [More]
If my experience in motion pictures has taught me anything, it is this: No mere man is clever enough to control all the forces which must work together for all-around success in life. I do not believe in luck, nor can I take personal credit for the piloting of my own career.   While attending Hollywood High School, my fellow students said I lacked “get-up-and-go.” Though ambitious, I seemed to lack drive. But my dreams were of the wide spaces, open sky and a cattle ranch.   Hollywood was a smaller town then, and my newspaper route was star-studded. As [More]
