If you’re planning to visit a public pool this summer, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) annual report may make you think twice.¹ More than 48,600 public pools, hot tubs and water playgrounds were tested, and close to 80 percent had at least one safety or hygiene violation.
