Today marks 17 years since the tragedy of 9/11, the date the twin towers in New York City were destroyed in an act of shocking terrorism against the United States. Along with a hijacked plane that hit the Pentagon building in Washington, DC and the crash of a fourth hijacked plane in Pennsylvania, thousands of people lost their lives on September 11, 2001—leaving behind broken homes and hurting people.
