The well-known Christian band, Newsboys, had its start in Victoria, Australia, back in the mid-1980s. Peter Furler, their lead singer and one of the band’s founders, stepped down from his position as lead singer in 2009, and Michael Tait, formerly of the group dc Talk, took over. Well, Newsboys decided they wanted to replace Tait with an Australian to return the band to its former sound.
