The statin or cholesterol reduction drug push has been tagged as the biggest medical scam of all time by medical practitioners who know better and are not afraid of being sued or harassed by drug makers.

This actually happened when Merck threatened to sue a Milan health agency official, Alberto Donzelli, for issuing warnings about the dangers of Merck’s new statin drug, Zetia, and advising doctors in Italy against prescribing it. Donzelli was forced to back down in early 2104. (Source)
