With 30 states now legalizing same-sex “marriage” — 11 court decisions overturned marriage protection amendments this month alone — many are fearing that Christian wedding vendors may become extinct as quickly as the 20 remaining states that still honor marriage as a union only between one man and one woman.

Since Massachusetts became the first state to legalize same-sex marriage a decade ago in 2004, dozens of homosexual couples have sued Christian wedding vendors who have refused to offer their services for ceremonies that go against their biblical beliefs.

And the lawsuits — many spurred by homosexual activists and the LGBTQ community — don’t only target owners of facilities where the weddings would have taken place, but other Christian businesses serving newlyweds and families, as well, such as photographers, bed & breakfasts, florists, bakeries, and even adoption agencies.

As these cases continue to mount, legal experts often point out that the same-sex couples have nothing to lose — saying that they can just go down the street and find someone else with whom they can to do business — while the Christian business owners have everything to lose. These Christian business owners reportedly aren’t just getting stuck with stiff fines or orders from the courts to perform acts that go against their Christian beliefs — they can also lose their very businesses and ways of life if they don’t conform to a judge’s order telling them to defy their conscience … or else.

Make their cake and eat their own conscience, too

One such case of coercion is taking place in Colorado, where the owner and operator of a specialty bakery is allegedly having his free speech rights trampled in the name of “equality.”
