As hinted at constantly during the 2020 presidential campaign, the Democrats appear to be moving forward with their promise (and sometimes denial) to pack the Supreme court of the United States, starting with legislative proposals from the House Democrats.

The desired change involves adding 4 new Justices, which would bring the total from 9 to 13. 

This comes very quickly after Joe Biden just several days ago launched a taxpayer-funded 180 day commission to study the effects of court packing, which according to the White House will be run as “a bipartisan group of experts on the Court and the Court reform debate.” The study will be led by Bob Bauer, and Cristina Rodriguez, both of whom are former high-ranking partisans who served under the Obama administration.
