Christians Apologize to the Filipino LGBT Community

A group of professing Filipino Christians recently marched in an LGBT pride parade in a city near Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Their message? “I’m sorry.” Their banners carried messages such as, “We’re here to apologize for the ways that we as Christians have harmed the LGBT community.” According to reports, “The demonstration was part of the church’s ‘I’m Sorry’ campaign, through which members seek to apologize on behalf of their fellow Christians for the way biblical writings have been used against the LGBT community.”
