New findings reported Tuesday in a University of Louisville study challenge what has been the prevailing belief that mask mandates are necessary to slow the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus. The study notes that “80% of US states mandated masks during the COVID-19 pandemic” and while “mandates induced greater mask compliance, [they] did not predict lower growth rates when community spread was low (minima) or high (maxima).” Among other things, the study — conducted using data from the CDC covering multiple seasons — reports that “mask mandates and use are not associated with lower SARS-CoV-2 spread among US states.” “Our

Continuous skin-to-skin contact starting immediately after delivery, even before the baby has been stabilized, can reduce mortality by 25 percent in infants with a very low birth weight. This according to a study in low- and middle-income countries coordinated by the WHO on the initiative of researchers at Karolinska Institutet published in The New England Journal of Medicine. Continuous skin-to-skin contact between infant and mother, or “kangaroo mother care” (KMC), is one of the most effective ways to prevent infant mortality globally. The current recommendation from the World Health Organization (WHO) is that skin-to-skin contact should commence as soon as

The “miraculous” drug Ivermectin has proved to be incredibly effective at both preventing and treating COVID-19, yet it has been subject to widespread suppression and misinformation from global health bodies in an apparent attempt to promote financial revenue over saving the lives of millions. In a recent article, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Capuzzo detailed the manner in which Ivermectin came to be used to treat COVID-19, and simultaneously subjected to global censorship despite its incredibly high success rate at treating the virus. The May 2021 issue of Mountain Home contains Capuzzo’s detailed report, following the

By Lori Alton, staff writer (NaturalHealth365) Daily, we are bombarded with a succession of eye-catching, clever, well-edited advertisements for a seemingly endless variety of sugary sodas and energy drinks. Meanwhile, an abundance of scientific studies has confirmed that excessive sugar consumption has been associated with deadly diseases – such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes – later in life. Now, brand-new research reveals that high sugar negatively affects the gut microbiome – the community of trillions of intestinal bacteria that plays a vital role in immune system health and metabolism. Not only that, but the research suggests that excessive

By Ken Ham We’ve had some exceptional themes that have tackled big questions over the years with our Answers VBS—we’ve covered who the one true God is (that’s this year’s theme), that we’re all one race, that Jesus is the eternal God, the historicity of Noah’s flood, and more. By Tess Pennington This past weekend Texas experienced its first tropical weather event for the 2021 season, and the season doesn’t officially begin until June 1st. Each year the tropics have been becoming active earlier than expected, and at this time they are unofficially starting the season in mid-May. Now is the time for the coastal United States to start preparing for what will inevitably be another active hurricane season. 2021 has proven that we need to be prepared for anything. The CDC recommends that each family have enough food and water on hand for a disaster that will last

By Damon Hines, staff writer (NaturalHealth365) “Have it your way.” “Oh yes, we did.” “I’m lovin’ it.” These fast food slogans take on a darker and more sinister meaning when you consider that your next order of takeout can come with a side of forever chemicals. From greaseproof pizza boxes to fast-food wrappers, the containers that hold your fast food may harbor an invisible threat. But here’s an even bigger threat to our national health: chemical giants DuPont and Daiken knew the dangers of the PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances compound) widely used in food packaging since 2010 but …read

By Ken Ham In a recent interview atheist Richard Dawkins was asked to logically defend a horrific 2014 tweet that counseled women to “abort it [a baby with Down Syndrome] and try again. It would be immoral to bring it into the world if you have a choice.” In this interview, seven years later, Dawkins backpedaled, saying “immoral” was too strong but that such a choice would be “wise and sensible.” Without the absolute authority of God’s Word, anything (including the murder of unborn children) goes, and ultimately life is meaningless and without value. It’s really worth watching the two-minute

By Ken Ham Gen Z—today’s young people—what do they believe? Well, in America, a whopping 74% believe morality is relative, 1 in 6 identify as LGBT, and they are twice as likely to be atheists than preceding generations. They’re surrounded by secularism, destructive LGBT and CRT ideology, “deconstruction” and “exvangelical” stories, and voices loudly proclaiming progressive Christianity as the “true” version of Jesus. For those in Gen Z who profess true faith in Christ—how will they stand? And what about the generation (Alpha) coming after them? Well, we know that ultimately God is in control and it is God …read

The first-ever genetically modified salmon will soon appear on dinner plates in the US after it was cleared for consumption, according to the biotech company that developed the product. The salmon will head to restaurants and take-away dining services in the Midwest and East Coast and will not be labeled as genetically modified, AquaBounty Technologies CEO Sylvia Wulf, the company behind it, said. So far, the only customer to announce it is selling the salmon is Samuels and Son Seafood, a Philadelphia-based seafood distributor. The controversial herbicide glyphosate has been dominating the news cycle lately, but much of the news actually seems to be promising, for a change. Glyphosate is one of the most evil chemicals ever created by mankind, linked to cancers of the bone, colon, kidney, liver, melanoma, pancreas and thyroid, as well as interfering with the gut microbiome, having a detrimental effect on the liver and has even been implicated in autism. The big news is that there have recently been some successful lawsuits against glyphosate’s creators, Monsanto (Bayer) for causing Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer of the lymphatic system.
