By Creation Moments The brown ghost knifefish, popular in many aquariums, generates a weak electric signal that it uses for navigation and communication. The electric field they generate is too weak to stun prey. However, the electric organs that run along the sides of their bodies can pick up any changes in the field when the field encounters something with a conductivity that is different than water. read more …read more Read more here: Creation Moments

Do you know who else gets watched, tracked and monitored 24 hours a day? Prisoners do. Surveillance is a form of control, and at this point we are little more than inmates inside a gigantic Big Brother surveillance grid. Posted below is a list of 32 privacy destroying technologies that are systematically transforming America into a giant prison. Following each item, there is a short excerpt from a news report about that particular technology. If you want to read the entire article where the excerpt came from, just click the link to find the source. Individually, each of these technologies

By Ken Ham Today, I want to tell you about a special trip you can take with Answers in Genesis next June—an Alaskan cruise! According to our former international director, Dr. David Crandall, “There’s no better way for you and your family to take the AiG Alaskan Cruise than with Norwegian Cruise Line, which offers the youngest cruising fleet sailing the frontier.” Led by Dr. Crandall and Steve Ham (AiG’s senior director of outreach), this trip will feature amazing views and wildlife like nowhere else: Seattle Glacier near Juneau Picturesque Skagway Fjord <img alt="Quaint Victoria, Canada" …read more Read more

Isaac Newton is recognized today by almost all scientists to have been one of the greatest, if not the greatest, scientist who ever lived. His breadth of knowledge, his ability to analyze and synthesize the physical world, his development and use of the calculus, his formulation of the three laws of motion, and the expression of the law of gravitation have been unequaled by any other scientist before or since. Yet, it is not widely known that Newton was also a Christian and a Bible scholar. He studied the Bible diligently and wrote commentaries on portions of scripture, such as

By Ken Ham Dan Phelps is the evolutionist who was quoted in an Associated Press article (printed in many newspapers around America, including in today’s edition of our hometown newspaper, the Kentucky Enquirer), responding to the news that the Creation Museum was donated a world-class dinosaur fossil. According to the AP article on our new allosaur and its impressive skull and other bones, Dan Phelps is quoted as saying, “Of course since the Creation Museum doesn’t do scientific research, all (it) really has done is obtain a nice display trophy.” Well, why should we be surprised at such a statement,

By Ken Ham What a thrill it was to minister at Calvary Chapel of San Jose (California) these past two days and experience the excitement of the staff of their church and Christian school because they use AiG curricula. This church and Calvary Christian Academy use the Answers Bible Curriculum, the AiG Vacation Bible School program, AiG science curricula, and other AiG resources as the pastor leads this church and teaches families the Word of God. What a blessing it is to see a church and Christian school that enthusiastically teach apologetics to the children so they will be able

“Just one more of many marvels of design in nature.” Admin The humble fly hovering over a garbage can is routinely capable of some high-speed aeronautic manoeuvres that have long boggled the minds of aircraft designers and engineers. If a male fly chasing a potential mate sees her change course ever so slightly, he will respond with an appropriate change of his own in just 30 milliseconds! It has long been known that the amazing stability of flies as they zip around has a lot to do with the two tiny club-shaped ‘balancing organs’ they have, called halteres (see Figure

When it comes to evidence, many people think that the fossils prove evolution. You may have seen a diagram of the geologic column figure 1 with pictures of plants and animals showing how evolution progressed over millions of years. It gives you the impression that fossils are always found in the same definite order and that no fossils are ever found ‘in the wrong place’. You may be surprised to learn that fossils are being found “in the wrong place” all the time. Out of place, that is, compared with the areas, or ranges, shown for them on the geological

By Ken Ham Last year the Green family—owners of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.—installed a special exhibit in the Creation Museum called Verbum Domini (“The Word of the Lord”). Now, this exhibit is a portion of their travelling Passages exhibits. We were thrilled to add this special collection of Bible-related manuscripts to the museum—and the Greens even said they would change out the manuscripts and other Bible-related items every six months! Well, it’s that time again, and the Greens have rotated the Verbum Domini collection here at the museum. The new items are centered on the theme “Art and the Bible.”

Genetically Modified Organisms can feel like a heavy burden. Many of us just feel too overwhelmed to take on another criteria to consider when grocery shopping. Without a proper label, how can one even know what’s got GMOs and what doesn’t? Non-GMO Shopping GuideMany consumers and even high-powered politicians feel your pain and are demanding labeling for any GMO products. As concern and outrage spread, more solutions arise. It’s easier now than ever to make GMO-free food choices. So until labeling legislation gets passed—and we here at NVL believe it will—consider these tips for finding GMO-free foods without getting a

If you listen to Tepco and Japanese officials, you are bound to be confused about how bad Fukushima’s lasting effects really are. One moment they say everything is under control at the Fukushima nuclear plant, and the next they’re admitting radiation levels are 95% higher than originally stated. One would have to be awfully trusting or awfully ignorant to think the radioactive water spilling into the ground and eventually the sea wouldn’t spread throughout the world. The West Coast of Canada and the US is already seeing some effects. Each day, 300 tons of radioactive water is spilling into the

“I think these reveal which religion he really follows and why he is such a rabid supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.” Admin You are about to read some of the most shocking quotes that Barack Obama has ever uttered in public. A few of these have been widely circulated, but most of them are very obscure. Four of every five acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed against Christians, according to the Germany-based International Society for Human Rights. The secular US think tank the Pew Forum says Christians face harassment or oppression in 139 nations, nearly three-quarters of all the countries on earth. It is not just Muslims, who themselves often face horrendous persecution, who attack Christians. In the Indian state of Orissa, Hindu nationalists attacked Christians in a vicious pogrom in 2008, killing 500, injuring thousands with machetes, and leaving 50,000 homeless. A nun was raped and paraded naked through the streets,
