Update: On December 15, five days after Professor Hawkins posted her statements on Facebook, Wheaton College has placed her on administrative leave pending a hearing. I commend their desire to call their professors to “accept and model” their statement of faith. This is an encouraging step, and we hope that they continue to work toward upholding God’s Word as their authority. We pray the outcome will glorify God and promote clarity with respect to the message of the gospel.
