In his letters, the Apostle Paul sometimes thanks churches and individuals for their help in spreading the gospel by contributing to his ministry and meeting the needs of others. By giving toward Paul’s ministry, they were partnering with him in accomplishing God’s work. Paul was extremely grateful for the help and generosity of these brothers and sisters.
